A bunch of people probably cancelled because they keep getting things that don’t match their profile. I’m going to stick it out one more month… Then I’m gone if I don’t get at least 3 things I’d use. EVERYTHING I’ve gotten has been stuff not selected in my profile. =l

I recently canceled Ipsy after over a year because I looked back through all my bags and realized I only liked about 20% of what they sent me. That’s one item per bag! Not worth it for me (though they did introduce me to Nyx Butter Gloss, and for that I thank them). I’m not sure that my like ratio with Birchbox is that much higher, but I have found multiple holy grails through them, and their points system makes up for the items that I don’t like.

I just cancelled Birchbox, I like ipsy better. We’ve had a few bummer boxes with Birchbox but none with Ipsy. But as we all know, not everyone gets the same thing!

I also cancelled it. I am soo tired of getting hair sprays that don’t work for my hair.

I think it’s all in preference. Birchbox is geared more to skincare, hair, perfume(which their site states you will get no more then 6 vials in a year) and Ipsy is geared more towards make-up.

For me, I prefer Ipsy. My Birchbox ends in Nov. and not sure if I’ll renew.

I tried Ipsy for three months. My bags were never good at all (except for the bag itself which usually was cute). Cancelled and won’t resign because even though others got really cute stuff, I never did. I read some reviews that say your bags get better with time after you review your items each month. I gave it three months and it never improved to where I wanted more than one item out of a shipment. Not into getting a bunch of junk to review just so they know I don’t want it…….running out of space with all these subs!

My recent subscription to Birchbox and Glossy Box ended this month. I am not going back to Glossy box, but I need YOUR HELP! I am tempted to sub scribe to ipsy, because of no waitlist…or should I renew Birchbox?

I signed up on 6/26 and was told I was on the wait list (I’ve seen that you can be on the wait list for months) and to try and do different things to get off the wait list (which I didn’t do any of them), and on 7/10 I was pleasantly surprised to get an email that my July glam bag was on its way. So they must have had quite a few openings. I wasn’t too impressed with my first bag, but I will keep my subscription for at least a few more months and see how it goes.

I don’t buy that they have an actual waitlist at all. I think they just stick you there when you sign up so that you’ll do some advertising for them in order to get off of it.

What? Me cynical and jaded?

Wait. I signed up for ipsy and I’m on the wait list, does this mean I’m off the wait list or do I need to resub. ugh

Probably resign up. Ipsy usually doesn’t pull from the current wait list during these events. Kinda silly.
