Yogi Surprise Jewelry Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Necklace

Pearl Wisdom Mala - Listed Value $115

Since the jewelry in this box isn't from a specific brand, I can't find retail prices online.

From Yogi Surprise:

This elegant mala beautifully adds to your practice, helping you focus on your mantras and find your path to enlightenment. Handcrafted in Bali and featuring stunning freshwater Pearls (believed to stimulate the mind), let this gorgeous mala bring out your inner goddess and inspire peacefulness, clarity, and patience.

Yogi Surprise Jewelry Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Bracelet

Chakra Bracelet - Listed Value $39

This bracelet is very similar to the bracelet included in the recent Pharrell Quarterly box!

Yogi Surprise Jewelry Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Chocolate

Pure 7 Dark Bar - Value $7

I'm not a fan of straight-up dark chocolate, so this bar wasn't my favorite, but I was impressed that it arrived unmelted. I'm curious what types of sweets Yogi Surprise will send during the hotter summer months.

Verdict: So far, I'm impressed with this subscription. While I wouldn't pay the retail prices listed for the jewelry, I think it's a good value to get two jewelry pieces and chocolate for $25 a month.

What do you think of the Yogi Surprise Jewelry Box?

I wonder why there wasn’t more listings in the swap forum since very few subscribers enjoyed either piece of jewelry. I’m always on the hunt for jewelry from both yogi boxes I caved in and subscribed to the jewelry surprise after this post.

I agree with most. This was my 1st ever yogi surprise box and I was a bit disappointed with the jewelry. Both pieces looked cheap. I like the chakra bracelet but feel like I could’ve made it myself, and have! The same beads were used for both pieces. I did love love the chocolate though! I’m a huge dark chocolate fan & thought this was awesome. I’ll probably keep the box for another month just for the chocolate I’ll cry if it’s melted- & cause I love surpises!

Hi Everyone. I received my box today and was sad to see that the pendant on the mala beads was damaged. Make sure to check it when receiving. I decided to cancel my sub. But I was told that next month there would be a change with the variety in the jewelry offered.

Just got my June box and I’m not very thrilled. I received last month’s box as well and the mala beads are very similar in color and appearance. I’m also wondering why some of the jewelry comes packaged in plastic with a silica gel pack inside. This was inside the little drawstring sack which looks nice but once you initially pull your jewelry out it looks cheap. Even if this is how the jewelry comes from Bali I would think removing the plastic wrapping and silica pack would improve the appearance of quality. The chakra bracelet is ok but the prices seem inflated. I probably will be cancelling. I would rather put the money towards a crystal or gemstone bracelet on etsy. I would bave much preferred the Lifestyle box and the Tree Of Life bracelet. I’ll keep an eye on this subscription and if a few months go by without a mala I might resubscribe.

Surprisingly, the chocolate was sort of okay with a TX delivery! I’ve got the jewelry up for swap…wish I would have gone with the lifestyle box this month. That bracelet is more my style!

I just received my box today – this is my first ever Yogi Surprise box (I have the regular Lifestyle box on order that will probably arrive tomorrow.) I must say I’m kind of disappointed with this box. I did not care for either piece of jewelry, although I love dark chocolate. Unfortunately, my chocolate was melted 🙁 (I live in Florida where we’re having high 90 temps!) I had a feeling this might be a problem with shipping chocolate during the summertime. I stuck my bar in the freezer to salvage it. I will probably put both pieces of jewelry in a silent auction during an event I’m having at my yoga studio this month so hopefully someone will be able to enjoy them. I’m holding out hope for next month’s box. If I don’t like the selection I may have to cancel the jewelry box but I hope not!

This is the second Yogi Surprise Jewelry. I will say I had no problem with the chocolate as I live in the Northwest so my box doesn’t travel as far and it tends to be cooler here than the rest of the country (lucky me!) so no meltage for me.

I know each mala has different energies/meanings but how many malas does a person need?

I am curious if this is going to be the standard in the box a mala and beaded bracelet? I actually really enjoyed both boxes but it is something I am pondering. (I am fine with no earrings but is it going to vary or??)

I like the Chakra bracelet quite a bit.

I agree with that there are to many malas in boxes now. The first box I remember having them is yogi surprise. I’d rather get malas in a box over earrings any day.

Looking forward to my box. It’s priced right and interesting. One thing companies should do is skip sending chocolate June-August. – It melts

Ragan

I suggested that to them. They said they are switching to “chocolate-based superfoods” for the summer to avoid melting. Too late for my June box but good to know for the future.

Thanks good to know – When ever I think of superfoods I think of gross protein bars without sugar – Yuck! – LOL

I am somewhat disappointed with the box. The jewelry was okay, but not worth the price paid. I could go to a bead store and get supplies to make something I like more. I am glad I tried it, but I am going to unsubscribe. Also, the chocolate has honey in it: I am vegan, I don’t eat honey.

Got my first Yogi Surprise Jewelry box today. I’m impressed with the quality of the jewelry and the candy. Great value! It was really warm out today and somehow my chocolate did not melt (yay!). I also wonder what “treats” they will ship in the next couple months.

I am sooo bummed! I signed up for this box but do not think my subscription will begin until July 🙁 I love this entire box!! (you lucky ducks) 🙂

I love straight up dark chocolate.

I haven’t tried the chocolate yet because I just got home from work. I see they’re using those little seeds a lot for mala beads. But I kind of like them, and I like the different things they do with them. Of course I could make things like this myself, but I would never think of some of the combinations of materials they come up with. When I move, I am going to get some kind of rack to hang all these things from (to put them on display but also to make them accessible for use).

P.S. My chocolate was so melted that even an hour later, it is still practically liquid. I have put it in the refrigerator in the hopes of salvaging it. It will be misshapen. But it is 86 degrees outside and I have a black mailbox.
