GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Nail Polish

Lillian Eve Nail Polish in Nothing But Nude - FULL SIZE! Value $12

VAPOUR Organic Beauty Clarity Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil - .21 oz Value $6.70

I love this neutral nail polish shade - and the formula is 5-free. The makeup remover cleansing oil is made with all organic ingredients. I was expecting it to have a natural scent - but I can't really detect any sort of fragrance.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Red Flower

Red Flower Reviving Hand and Face Towelette in Wanderlust (7) - value $5

These towelettes are pretty heavily scented. I like the Wanderlust scent, but this isn't something I'd use on my face. Instead, you could use it as an alternative to applying perfume.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Serum

MyChelle Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum - FULL SIZE! Value $44.25

This serum is a lightweight gel formula - very refreshing and perfect for summer. It is scented with roses (which I don't love for skincare), but the scent fades relatively quickly.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Alima

Alima Pure Natural Definition Eye Pencil in Patina - FULL SIZE! Value $18

I really like the Alima Pure brand (Their lip tint is one of my all-time favorite products). This eyeliner goes on smoothly and is very pigmented. It also has just a touch of sparkle in the formula:

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2015 Swatch

Verdict: I feel like GoodeBoxes can be feast or famine when it comes to sample sizes. This month I'm thrilled with the sizes of all the items, and the value is incredible too - $86! (That's about double the typical value for GoodeBox, so I wouldn't sign up for this subscription based on the June box alone - make sure to check out all of my GoodeBox reviews).

What do you think of the June 2015 GoodeBox?

The Mychelle serum is going to be part of my routine permanently. I love this stuff. What a great box this one was. My July was great too. I’m just waiting for a chance to review that!

I received the wipes, cleansing oil, MyChelle eye cream, Seawood shampoo in eucalyptus/peppermint, and coral nail polish. Overall, I’m very pleased with this box.

The seaweed lavender volumizing shampoo is one of my favorites, and I’m already on my second bottle. I’m excited to try this other variety! I love MyChelle products, and can’t wait to try the eye cream. I’ll keep the wipes in my car for clean ups, so they’ll be useful. I haven’t found cleansing oils to be very effective on me, but I’m interested to try this one. My polish is adorable, but I usually have my fingernails done with shellac polish, so it’ll likely only get used on my toes. (I marked nail polish as a no in my profile, so I’m surprised I got any this month.)

Seems like there were a lot of variations in the box this month (my box was different too – I had the oil, MyChelle eye cream, and the nail polish in a really pretty peach color, a full size of Acure Argan oil face wipes, Seaweed Bath Co shampoo sample and I think some other little beauty sample)

Is this level of variation normal for GoodeBox? This was my first month as a subscriber. No complaints on what I got, just curious.

Andi

Yes, Lauren, there is variation each month due to the number of products they include, and our individual profiles. The variation is not as bad as Birchbox and ipsy, however – Liz always got better products than me, so I canceled both of those. Subscriptions. Check out Goodebox’s Recent page for this month’s options.

Mine is the exact same as yours except that I did not get the nail polish and got the terrible small jar of self tanner. I wish boxes will just stop with self tanners. Liz, BTW, the price is now $19 a month for new subscribers.

Rachael

$21 for monthly as of today

I got the exact same box. I’m going to use and love everything. Except for the nail polish, which I’d keep if my sister-in-law wouldn’t love it – she’s very into neutrals – I’m a pale pink polish person. My daughter gets the tween box, and she got wonderful skin care, a beautiful pink polish… we’re happy over here. Goodebox really delivers.

Does GoodeBox make a “tween” box?

Reply ButtonReply

Jen c.

The tween box is the same subscription, but they have an option for ages 10 – 13. My daughter doesn’t wear makeup and they’ve concentrated on skin, nails, lip balms. They’re spoiling her! Oh, wait, I’m spoiling her. Shoot.

thanks for the answer, Jen C! I agree, I love the wonderful skin care and beautiful pink polish!!!!!!! I’m a singer

My box was almost completely different. It included:
Acure unscented argan oil wipes (30ct) – full size
MyChelle Remarkable Retinol Eye Cream – full size
Odacite intensive hand and heel therapy – deluxe sample
Suntegrity natural self tanner – who cares, won’t use
LE nail polish in the same color – full size

This is one of my favorite boxes so far!

I got the same version as you ladies with full sized eye cream, towelettes, polish, tanner and heel cream. I estimated RV $59

For being “eco friendly” those wipes sure make a lot of trash.

Melissa

BAHAhahahahahaha! Such an awesome comment. I suppose the wipes could be compostable but what about the packaging???

For some reason, I keep getting error messages that my comments are spam on Explorer. Posting the exact same thing worked with Chrome, though. (I’m not a spammer!!! :-((

On IE, it asks me for the current year and if I fill that it I get a message that I was supposed to leave that field blank. If I don’t fill in the blank, I get an error message that I should’ve filled in the year!! Frustrating.

I tried using the oil last night and it failed miserably. The oil is very thick and didn’t dissolve my makeup. I had to use my MAC face oil then continue with my usual cleanser (I like to double cleanse when I use a oil). Did anyone else get this oil to work for them? I still have one or two more uses left and want to give it a good try before saying it was a bust.

I will try to remember to use it tonight and let you know. I also double cleanse when using oil.

I received the wipes, cleansing oil, and nail polish. I also received the Odacite Intensive Hand and Heal Therapy Cream and MyChelle Retinal Eye Cream. I’m very happy with my box because I can use all the items 🙂

I loved this months box! It seems to be getting better and better each month

Wow, what a fantastic box. This is very nicely curated. I love that nail polish, nudes are my one of my favourite shades all year round.

I was thrilled with this box! I subscribe to Goodebox for the opportunity at trying the organic side of things, but this month they hit one out of the park value wise too! I love every item in this box! I had to cancel a box this moth and happy I got rid of Petit Vour over Goodebox…..who knows how I will feel next month!

I received the MyChelle Eye Cream, and instead of the eye pencil and nail polish I was sent a small heel cream and a teeny- tiny self tanner ( maybe enough for one leg!)– no way was my value any where near $86…

I got exactly the items you got. Guessing the values on the items I got with the tiny foot cream, tiny tanner, nail polish and eye cream are $55 – I’m happy with my box, yet am disappointed that other have gotten boxes that are a lot higher value.

I got the MyChelle eye cream but now I wish I got the serum. I’m a serum fanatic! Either way I’m happy to finally get to try a product from this brand.
