Park Pack Box

Disney is starting their own monthly box! (This is one that you have to buy every month like Golden Tote - not a recurring subscription).

The Box: Disney Park Pack

The Cost: $39.95

The Products: a monthly mystery box of Disney Parks merchandise.

More info: The first edition being released, called Trading Edition, will go on sale May 14th through the Disney Parks online store. This box will focus on Disney pins and include an exclusive Limited Edition 500 pin, as well as 2 open edition pins guests can not yet purchase at Disney Parks.  The limited edition pins are part of a series and may include characters from animated features or attractions at Disney Parks. The limited edition pins will also have two embellishments (like pin-on-pin or special fills).

The boxes will retail for $39.95 including shipping and subsequently be released on the first Thursday of every month.

Keep Track of Your Subscriptions: Add this box to your subscription list or wish list!

Are you going to sign up for this box?

I would like to subscribe to this box. But the monthly fee is very high. It is just cheaper to buy the pins from the Disney Parks website than it would be to pay for just three pins.

Liz, did you order one? I just got mine today and it’s pretty cool. The open edition pins I got were a Mini mouse bow featuring the American flag pattern and Dopey pin with crystal eyes. The limited edition pin is of Frozen (of course!) and it’s a frame with Olaf, Anna, and Elsa. I’m sure this will be very desirable to trade or sell. I will probably gift them to my young cousin. It’s a really nice box and even though I’m not a pin collector, I’m glad I got it because I love Disney! I wonder if there will be variations?

I was not able to get one of these before they sold out that morning (and I’m a WDW annual passholder and live in FL lol). If anyone is willing to swap a complete box (and I haven’t even seen the contents yet lol), then please let me know. I have brand new Marvel Collector Corps boxes and tons of other things so please let me know if you might want to swap. Thanks! 🙂

Ehmehgerd! We are going to Disney World next week, so I pounced on this review like a cat. Pew Pew! Sadly, upon actually reading it, I have zero interest. In this first box, at least. Pins? Meh. That’s part of the reason why I don’t sub to any geeky boxes anymore. I simply don’t collect things like this.

Like with any sub, though, there is a whole lot of personal taste going on. I’m sure there are plenty of people that will snap this one up. Now, if the box had more Disney Parks paraphenelia, well, yay! But this first one and I weren’t meant to be.

My husband works at Walt Disney World so I will be checking the Cast Member hub for this to see if there are any employee discounts! Thanks for the head’s up – normally I know about Disney stuff before they know themselves but I have been slacking lately… Hahaha! 🙂

I agree with most of the other commenters that I would love a Disney box but I am not interested in pins.

Open edition means that they can make as many of them as they want, no limits.

I collect tons of Disney pins but $40 for only 3 pins is a bit elevated in price. Their pins average for $8ish to $15ish, although I do understand they are “Limited Edition” & “Open Edition” (whatever that is) and the value is more. But we collect them as fun not as re-sell, therefore, again, $40 is too much.

Great box for someone who collects pins. I could see the pins easily displayed in a printers drawer. If I collected pins I would get this box. I hope the next box would include t shirts – pens – note books – key chains – jewelry and have some variety to it. That is the only way I’ll spend over $20 on a box.

We are passing on the first box and can’t wait to see what is the theme of the second box.

Give me a box with cool T-shirts, Merchandise from the parks, uniquely themed Disney World items and I’m in.

I love this! I’m a huge Disneyland fan and collect pins so this is perfect for me! I just unsubscribed from most of my boxes for financial reasons but I think I may have to get this one!

I was just telling my husband how much I would love for Disney to have their own sub box! I’m not a pin collector though, so I’ll be skipping the first box. Will it only contain the three pins and nothing else?

Nikki

I love this idea!! But will pass on the pins.

I don’t collect pins but I am Disney World obsessed so it is a perfect box for me. I am super excited for this!

As soon as I saw the headline, I thought “I have to get this!” I am not a pin collector, though, so I will pass this month. I will definitely check out the themes for future months! I would love to receive items that remind me of the parks — maybe snacks from the different lands in Epcot?

I think I’ll pass on the first month but I’m already waiting for the second one to be announced. It’d be cool to get in on this the first box, but I’m not a huge ‘pin’ fan, so the value isn’t there for me. If I knew the pins it may be because I would know if they were giftable (as I have a few friends/family that love Disney, but only love certain characters/places/rides/movies, etc).

I’ve often wished for a Disney box, but I hoped it would be a box with a wider range of items. Plushes, recipes for their park drinks/foods, signed photo cards from characters, etc. 🙁 Maybe they’ll come out with one in the future though!

Yay! I am happy there is now a Disney box – knew it was only a matter of time especially after the recent Marvel one. I am looking forward to coming months as well as my family loves Disney but doesn’t happen to collect the pins.
