Fair Treasure Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Purse

Duchess Pouch - Value $30?

(I couldn't find the price of this online, so I'm estimating). I love the print and colors of this clutch/pouch, and it is lined too:

Fair Treasure Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Earrings

Mata Traders Threaded Silver Earrings - Value $22

I don't usually wear dangling earrings (or silver jewelry), so these aren't a good fit for me - but I do love the blue thread accent. I will be gifting these!

Verdict: I had to guess on the value of the pouch, so I’m not exactly sure what the retail value of this box is, but by my estimates it is about $52. I would say the great value with this box is supporting fair trade across the world, but it is also great to see that the value seems to always be higher than the cost of the box. And they always send out such unique items!

What do you think of the May Fair Treasure box?

Hey Liz – did you ever think about reviewing Fair Trade Friday or Box of Blessings? They are the same price as Fair Treasure ($33 including shipping) and focused on providing fair employment to impoverished women. I would love to see what other people get in their monthly boxes since there are variations on the items. This month in Fair Trade Friday I got a reusable produce bag (made out of t-shirt material), a handmade small journal, clay bead earrings, a paper bead bracelet, and a father’s day card. Box of Blessings usually has 3 items, and this month I got a beaded bracelet, glass stud earrings, and a ring with a semi-precious stone.

Not to be a party pooper but ‘fair trade’ just means that those women got paid pennies for their hard work while some ‘entrepreneur’ laughs his/her way to the bank as clueless buyers justify spending 1000% markup price in hopes that they have made the world a better place.

I think $30 is a great price for these unique items, and for the added benefit of supporting fair trade. I really like the earrings.

I love those earrings! When I sub to any box, I like to receive more than two items. I would’ve been happy with these items, but for $30 I would’ve liked a 3rd item.
