BoxyCharm is a full-size and deluxe-size makeup and beauty subscription box. When they first started they were featuring drugstore brands like Revlon and L’Oreal, but lately they’ve been using mid-tier and high-end brands. (If you check out my earlier BoxyCharm reviews, you can definitely see the improvement in curation!)
This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: BoxyCharm
The Cost: $21 a month
The Products: 5-6 drugstore beauty items that will include nail care, skin care, makeup, haircare, fragrance and more. (At least 4 of those items will be full-sized).

Each box comes with a card detailing the products included.
Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette - Value $20
This is the spoiler item I was most excited about! (I don't have a good explanation - but I always am so excited when there is a palette in a subscription box). Boxycharm sent out the first Revealed palette in the December box, and I love having another one! Like the other palette, Revealed 2 has both matte and shimmer shades, and I'm happy with the pigmentation.
OFRA’s Derma Mineral Powder in “Pink Sapphire” - Value $35
This is a VERY shimmery powder. It's a light pink, and will work as a highlighter. I'll have to use it sparingly though - AKA this should last me years!
Vincent Longo Duo Eye Pencil in Brown Orofila/Golden Moss - Value $26
I believe subscribers will either receive an eye pencil duo, a lip pencil duo, or a Model Co lipgloss. I was hoping for the lip liner duo pencil since I have so many eye liners, but this Golden Moss shade is like nothing else in my collection, so I'm happy with it!
Coolway Smoothing Lotion - Value $24.95
I was surprised to see that this is the full-size version, but it looks like you only need to apply a little at a time. I've sampled Coolway hair products before, and I remember being surprised by how well they work, so I look forward to trying this!
Harvey Prince Hello Rollerball - Value $21
I'm in Harvey Prince overload right now thanks to subscription boxes, so I'll probably end up swapping/gifting this. (I do appreciate Boxycharm sending out a deluxe mini versus a vial sample though!)
Verdict: This box has a value of about $127 - over $100 more than the cost of the box. (I don't know how Boxycharm does it!) And that's the value using the $20 price for the palette, not the $40 retail price (since it is always on sale). I'm very impressed with the value, and my favorite items so far are the palette and the eye liner duo pencil.
