GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Eslor

Acure Root + Hair Deep Repair - FULL SIZE! Value $15

Eslor Soothing Cleanser Refiner - .5 oz Value $7

I love Acure and I really love FULL SIZE Acure! This hair conditioner mask is new to me, and I probably should have read the directions before I used it. You are only supposed to use a very small amount - I used a lot thinking it was a mask I needed to apply thickly. Anyway, my hair is very conditioned but a little greasy. I'm sure it will work well when I use it correctly! (And last longer too!)

This cleanser has a gentle formula, and I like that aloe vera is one of the ingredients. The same size is good too - perfect for travel.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Eyeliner

Juice Beauty Defining Eyeliner in Black - FULL SIZE! Value $16

Another brand I love! This eyeliner goes on with a charcoal grey/black color - not as dark as a jet black, but perfect for everyday wear.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Hair Ties

The Seaweed Bath Co. Body Wash in Eucalyptus & Peppermint - 1 oz Value $1

Poppy & Elle Hair Ties - Value $5

This body wash is super minty and very refreshing! I like this brand, so I'm happy to try another product from their line.

And I can never have enough hair ties!

Verdict: This is one of the best GoodeBoxes I've ever received. I'm happy with the sizes of everything, and thrilled to have 2 full-size beauty products in the box. The value is about $44 which is great.

I was charged at the end of March for a box and just today I was charged again. I still haven’t received a box yet. I emailed them. Does anyone know what their customer service is like? I’m canceling. I hate it when I am charged again before I receive the first box.

Oh, by the way, boxes take about two weeks to make it to me in NC. Mine isn’t even expected until next Friday. It may also be likely that you were first charged for the April box, then the second charge is for May’s box.

Andi

Was your first charge a small amount, like $1 or $1.50? They do a test draft when you first sign up to make sure the account number is correct. They then reverse that initial charge.

Goodebox’s customer service is the BEST. I usually get a response in a couple of hours when I email them. Don’t give up yet!

I can not believe the poorly curated and falsely advertised box they sent me. This is a gift I am embarrassed to give to a friend! Nothing from January February or March is in here. Just tiny samples that don’t even add up to the value of this box.

Are you talking about Eco Emi?

I saw a similar comment on Instagram – I believe this is related to the April box. Goodebox responded with the values of each item included (http://www.enjoygram.com/m/955263399702244658_1694623018).

I agree that the products aren’t as exciting as March’s box, but the value appears to be comparable. I just hope I get the seaweed shampoo myself. I won’t find out until later next week…their boxes take forever to reach me in NC!

PA Anna

I love that this box arrives early in the month. I received the same items as Liz except my Juice Beauty item is a pink lipstick. I was excited to see the hair mask because I love hair products. I read the directions before using 🙂 The lipstick is a great shade, the hair ties will be used, and I can’t wait to try the bodywash.

I feel as though I am being demanding. Has anyone ever emailed Goodebox and requested not to be sent a brand? I can’t use Eslor because it has aloe in it and this is the second month I received the brand. I don’t mind brand repeats because it allows me to try out different products, but Elsor I can’t use 🙁

Love this month!

Anna, like most subscription boxes, they are not sophisticated enough to enable you to exclude certain brands from your box. I love Eslor, and I’m sure you could find a friend who would like to try out this brand.

Here’s what I found on their FAQs –
Can I pick the samples in my Goodebox?
Half the fun of Goodebox is in the surprise. What fun is it opening a gift when you already know what it is? Many of the items in the Goodebox are good for everyone, but sometimes, certain products are geared toward specific concerns, certain skin types and the like. We review all preferences in Member Profiles in choosing the products each month, and where applicable, customize according to your selections. If it turns out something in your Goodebox doesn’t work for you, it will likely work for someone you know, and sharing is so much more fun than disappointment.

I give them to my sister.

I’m not requesting a brand. I’m asking if anyone requested a brand be excluded. I’m going to go through my survey again and see if there is anything I can mark that says I can’t use aloe. It’s the 3rd one that I received in 3 months.

I signed up for this one based on this box. Looking forward to some new natural products to try.

This looks like a great bag! Is the March bag still available? Any promo codes? Thanks! 🙂

Cay, on occasion, Goodebox offers their monthly boxes for a one-time purchase. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case with this month (http://goodeboxshop.com/collections/monthly-boxes). I did that with the November box, and was so impressed that I ended up subscribing for six months, which gives you a bit of a break on the monthly cost.

I love this box, and think it’s much better than last month’s! Instead of the eyeliner, I got the lipstick. The shade is a nice, nude pink, but I probably would have preferred the eyeliner, since I infrequently wear lipstick. I also got the body cream instead of the body wash, and I like that very much. I was thrilled to get the Eslor cleanser after enjoying their exfoliating gel from several months ago. I’m anxious to try the Acure mask, but will be careful not to use too much after hearing of others’ experiences.

I received the same items you did Liz except I received the furlesse stickers instead of the body wash. I love everything and was really happy with the value.

:)

This is my first Goodebox and I am very happy with it. Also got the hair mask, hair ties and eyeliner. The other products I got were Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder and Angel Face SuperDetox facial cleanser (not full size).

I got the Acure, hair ties, and Eslor, then I got a Juice Beauty lipstick (which I have been wanting to try so was thrilled), the Furlisse wrinkle patches, think that was it. Loved my box this month.

Hi Liz, I just learned about Acure products thanks to your review. What products have you tried and you liked? I am curious to try out from their online store.

Liz Cadman

I really like their eye cream and their shampoo and conditioners. Pretty much everything I’ve tried from their line has been great.

Kay

Thank you!!

Angela

I got the same hair repair, face wash, and hair ties. I also received the Furlesse wrinkle sticker things, and a Juice Beauty lipstick, which I really liked. The wrinkle stickers burned my skin a little while using them, but I didn’t see a big difference like the product claims. The face wash (Elsor) was ok. It isn’t something I’d buy again, but it’s nice to be able to try it. I also used the hair repair wrong, lol, and my hair was a little greasy like Liz’s. The hair ties were cute, so I’ll use those for sure. It’s my first box, and it’s a nice box, but I’m not sure if I like it as much as Petit Vour. I usually like all of or nearly all of Petit Hour’s products and repurchase many of them, where with Goodebox the only thing I’d probably repurchase is the Juice Beauty lipstick. We’ll see though. I usually give a box three months unless it’s really not for me.

Dang it, Petit Vour, not Petit Hour 🙂

I got everything except the Juice Beauty Eyeliner. I received the Purlesse 4 pack sample of Lipsticks, Crows, Rows & Elevens. At first I had box envy when I saw you got 2 full size products, but then I realized I still like my Goodebox. I like finding new natural products and love that they ship early in the month.

It should say Furlesse …
