Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – March 2015

I got mine through Gilt City and I’m thinking of canceling and just losing the rest of the months. This box is unbelievably bad. By FAR the worst I’ve had. They had a one time $18 charge for shipping. I paid that before I started. Then last month, they charged me again. I angrily emailed them and they refunded me. Then last night it happened AGAIIN. I am livid.

I am ending my subscription with Bare Bliss, and I’ve been with them for 6 months. They have very little idea of how to run this business. First, I didn’t receive a code for the nail polish and had to email them multiple times and message on them on Facebook to get it. Then my subscription randomly stopped working, and I had to email them again. They said they fixed it and now yet again my subscription stopped. They don’t know why it’s happening and said they would sendout the March box anyways while their tech guy figured it out. I haven’t received the March box or any follow up about what’s happening even though I emailed them again! They haven’t offered me any discount for my troubles and I’m tired of the hassle of waiting weeks for a response from the company. It sounds like I’m not the only one either. Just look at their comments on Facebook and Instagram from other subscribers who are having problems and being ignored.

Well, I used a Gilt City voucher for six months. The box I got was similar to this except instead of the Face Oil, I received a 1oz PuraBella deodorant. And not to knock Purabella at all but that’s a pretty big value discrepancy. In fact, it puts my box at UNDER the $19.99/month cost of the box.

So I don’t know if they really are sending lower valued boxes to the Gilt City people or if this was a variation that even NON-Gilt City purchasers got.

I also received a cream deodorant rather than the face oil. It is disappointing that this may be a variant for some Gilt subscribers, again.

I just received my March box from barbells and mine didn’t include the Missives face oil like I wanted. My box included pure bella creme deodorant instead. This is my second box that is different from other subscribers. Not happy. I was hopeful that I would like Bare Bliss but been disappointed with both boxes and have 4 more to go. I bought my 6 month subscription from Gilt City.

I’m no longer a subscriber. The items in this month’s box looks great to me. I have to give the owner credit for sourcing the items. Misoves posted on their Facebook page that they are in this month’s Bare Bliss box. At least with this box you know that the items are legitimate. It’s been that way ever since the first box where she provided discount codes to be used on the vendor websites. Hopefully the owner will work out the kinks.

This box looks good! I hope I get it instead of a separate box for Gilt City customers — which is what happened last month. Here’s hoping!

This is a good box unless you’re one of those people who can’t use lots of oils. (Facial oils are not a good match for me — believe me, I have tried — though I do have better luck with oils on arms/legs/etc.) I feel like some of the competing boxes have a little better value (Petit Vour comes to mind), but Bare Bliss Box is still fairly new and if it sticks around, I’m sure the value will improve.

Just signed up! I hope it isn’t too late to get this box, I really want to try the face oil with green tea extract.
