Bluum Subscription Box Review & 50% Off Coupon – Feb 2015 Box

Bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies and toddlers. Their boxes are super customized – specific to the month of your child’s age! The box I’m reviewing is for a 28 month old.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Bluum Subscription Box Review & 50% Off Coupon – Feb 2015 On the Farm

Puzzle Farm On The Farm - Value $13

This set includes a book, and as you read through there are places to put in the pieces to complete the story - such a cute idea!

Bluum Subscription Box Review & 50% Off Coupon – Feb 2015 ABC

Animal World ABC Block Book - Value $6

Shave with Benefits Pomegranate + Mango Shave Foam - 1.7 oz Value $6.50

I couldn't find this book for sale anywhere online, so I'm guessing it's a few years old? It is still in perfect new condition, so that's not a big deal for me.

I'm always happy when baby boxes include a mom item I can keep for myself, and this Shave with Benefits foam is great. It is made with natural and organic ingredients, and the mango scent is a nice tropical escape from this bitter cold winter!

Bluum Subscription Box Review & 50% Off Coupon – Feb 2015 Jack

Ten Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed Book and CD - Value $5

Jack and the Beanstalk Board Book - Value $7

I say this a lot in my Bluum reviews, but Bluum sends a lot of books! I think I'm going to update my subscription for a newborn and see what type of items receive instead. (Our very good friends are expecting their first child in May so I'm trying to get them lots of gifts anyway).

Verdict: This box has a value of about $37. The value is pretty good for the $25 price we paid, but this box doesn't always feel very curated. If you are looking for a baby/toddler subscription box that sends lots of books though - I really recommend Bluum!

Do you subscribe to Bluum? What do you think of it?

Thumbs down for me for cancelation process. I have been having a VERY difficult time canceling my subscription. I would NOT recommend Bluum.

I got my first bluum box recently for my 10-month-old. I wondered if mine was an anomaly, but I guess not. It included a book (we always like books), then two plush toys (which my daughter isn’t even interested in), and two face wash products for my from the same company. Not bad stuff, just felt redundant. And the cancellation process was a real chore – generate a unique ID, email customer service (can’t do it directly from your account), they send you a link, then click through several survey questions and a required 15-word review why you’re cancelling, and then finally you’re done. That really sealed it for me; bluum gets a failing grade 🙁

If you are getting newborn items for a friend, I might suggest sizing up for a few gifts. Babies learn very fast, newborn stage sensory items only last a few months, if you size up a few months it might take them through year 1+? The books look great! The puzzle and abc block book look a little young for 28 months

I just cancelled my Bluum subscription. I just received my first box, also for a 28 month old! I got 2 Melissa and Doug peg puzzles, one was numbers 0-9, the other a ballerina. I got two books, one a board book called The Adventurers, which was weird, and another called Dot and Dash which was about counting from 1-5. Lastly I got 2 pair of EZ socks, which are cute. I am disappointed to get so many “blah” items. I mean TWO peg puzzles and TWO books? I’d rather have more unique items that I don’t already have a ton of. Also, I had told them that my 2 year old is advanced and can count well past 20, so having two items teaching her to count was not helpful. And she is way beyond peg puzzles. Like you said, this box doesn’t seem well curated. I’m going to give Citrus Lane a try instead.
