Sports Crate is a new subscription box that offers boxes customized on your favorite sports teams. My husband is a big Pens fan, and a pretty good Steelers fan, so we were happy to try out this subscription.

I had no idea they made NFL themed beanie babies! I think we'll be gifting both of these items to a kid who can play with them!

These measure 5X7" and both the players and logos are stickers.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $34. I think the value is good considering that everything is licensed. I also like that there's a subscription box doing custom sports fan memorabilia - I think it would make a great gift for a sports-team fan!

I love sports crate! Got a sub for my son’s birthday- he loves it and we’re tremendously happy. Customer service is head and shoulders above the rest!!

Against my better judgement, we are going to offer a one time Valentine’s Day box that we will get to subscribers before VD. The catch is that it will use excess inventory from our January crates (so it will look similar) and you’ll have to email me so I can make sure that we have the teams that you are looking for.

Signed up last night after reading your review. Customer Service is AWESOME! You fill out what five teams you like(NFL, NHL, NBA, NBL & College). I emailed them that I only wanted to get my NFL & NBL teams as we don’t foliw the rest. And they don’t show our college team. I received an email reply right away telling me that my request wouldn’t be a problem and they will have our college team next month. I’m looking forward to this box and hope the customer service stays this great. Thanks for the review!

This would be a great gift if you could get just get items from one team. My mom only loves the Denver Broncos, she wouldn’t want stuff from 4 other teams.

Normally, I’d be really excited about this. We are huge Patriots fan. With #deflategate going on, I’m feeling very conflicted!

You shouldn’t like the Patriots any less. Many quarterbacks have came out and said they all like a different PSI with footballs. A Colts player even said on Twitter that this whole ordeal is ridiculous & the Patriots won because they played better. Also, the Patriots only had deflated balls during the 1st half, which was when the score wasn’t even close to a blow out. It was after half time (the refs gave them new balls then) that they completely destroyed the Colts. So actually, Tom did better with non-deflated balls.

This whole deflategate thing is complete nonsense. People love to bandwagon-hate the Patriots. And most of the people see the headline and buy into the bs immediately because they don’t know squat about football.

You keep on lovin the Pats cause they didn’t do anything that any other team isn’t guilty of. There are so many dumb rules in football; the over-regulation is ridiculous & will destroy the sport in the long run. They need to stick to simply getting penalty calls right.

I thought this was a great idea until I read the following on their site,
“… you will be assured not to receive anything from your favorite team’s rivals.”
I don’t want to receive anything except from my teams, Does anyone have any experience with multiple months?

Sorry if that was misleading. You absolutely will only receive items from teams that you have selected. Sometimes we do include products that are non team specific or mystery items like an item from the Super Bowl that is non-team specific. However, out of the 5 or 6 items that we include each month, that would only account for 1 item.

Fun! I think my son would get a kick out of this. I wonder if you could switch teams mid subscription so you can get stuff for a fav baseball team one month and fav football the next, ya know

I love it that I can select a women’s size instead of a general S. As soon as they add Penn State I’ll give it a try for a month! (A box mixed of my pro and college teams would be awesome!)

This may be the newest crate I buy! I’ve been looking for one for my husband. He feels left out.

Liz – Did you receive a t-shirt? It says in the FAQ that every crate comes with a t-shirt.

I may subscribe for 3 months to accumulate presents for my husband. He loves the Steelers of course! I can see this crate becoming popular.

We didn’t get a shirt. I’m not sure why – possibly they didn’t have the size we would have needed?

I need to clarify that statement on our website. We do not include T shirts every month. We found that because of the cost limits, just getting a generic type T shirt wasn’t being perceived that well. So we have limited our T shirts to ones that are unique. For example, we are making contacts with a number of professional athletes to procure camp T shirts which we will include.

I was really impressed with the customer service at Sports Crate. Plus, I’ve seen several unboxings and although the items are relatively similar in value, they’re definitely customized for each person and vary enough to feel like a truly personal sub!
