I really liked this box. Lots of neutral eye colors I can use. Guess I’m the exception.

Love it too! After reading the reviews about the last box, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to give it a try this time around but I am so glad I did. I think it is a great value and even though I might not love every single product in the box, I like enough items that I am pleased with my purchase.

I loved mine too. I have been needing brush cleaner and a new blush brush so this was worth the money for me. All the eye products are nice and neutral, perfect for stocking stuffers. If you want specific items I would not buy mystery boxes.

I really liked mine too! A mystery box isn’t necessarily supposed to have elements from certain categories. There’s no guarantees, that’s why it’s a mystery box.

Today, I finally received an email from BE, after SIX DAYS! I’d resorted to posting several times on their Facebook page and Twitter feed, since they refused to reply to the six emails I sent!
They said they’ll accept a return within 30 days, and gave this address:
Bare Escentuals Customer Returns
5271 Centerpoint Parkway
Groveport, OH 43125
I haven’t seen anyone post anywhere that they were thrilled with this box, so I hope the info is useful to anyone else who wants to make a return! $45 is just too much too waste.

Um, I just noticed the photo above says there are TWELVE things in this fail of a box. Anyone get 12 items?!?
I have sent them 6 emails to ask to return the box for a refund, and gotten no response from any of the addresses I’ve cc’ed. I’ve resorted to posting on their Facebook page and Twitter feed in order to get their attention. If I don’t hear back by Monday, I’m going to file a dispute with the bank. Yes, I’m seriously that annoyed.

Yes I got 12: 5 shadows, 2 brushes, 1 brush-shampoo, 2 liners, 1 mascara, 1 mineral veil.

Hmm. To add insult to injury, I didn’t get the mascara or mineral veil. But the mascara means there are 8 eye products! And no lip products….

Will never buy a mystery box from bare minerals again, it truly sucked!!!!

I received my box today, and am so angry and disappointed that I’m in tears. I don’t wear eyeshadow, but they sent FIVE. Two eyeliners, two nearly identical brushes, conditioner for brushes (WTH?!?!) (I have curly have, so I don’t use a brush). I used a code for BB cream, but it wasn’t added.
The thing that really, really makes this an insult is that I purchased the box because I love their lip products. I received NONE. A bunch of crap I couldn’t give away, but not a single lip product.
I emailed customer service to demand a refund. This just disgusts me; they clearly are just charging the most they can get away with in order to fob off the crap that doesn’t sell.

I got the same: 5 shadows, 2 brushes, 1 brush-shampoo, 2 liners, 1 mascara, 1 mineral veil.
I’m disappointed in the lack of variety but I’m not sure that I can be angry…. you get what you get in a mystery box…
I looked up the values. I found 9 of the 12 items and together they valued at over $175…. without the 3 I couldn’t find (one of the brushes, one of the liners, and and the brush shampoo).

Here’s the reason I don’t think “value” has any merit with a subscription/mystery box or on a swap site: it’s relative. If I go to a fine dining restaurant and for $40 am given 20 hot dogs, then yes, those are 20 hot dogs that cost $2 each, and are therefore “valued” at $40, even if I can only use one of two. They are not the same value, however, as an exquisitely cooked meal of soup, steak, and chocolate mousse…even if the cost is the same.
Ergo, a box o’ crap with five eyeshadows and other duplicates is not worth a box with variety and fewer has-runs.
Just because the dollar value of these items that no one wants is high does not make them *worth* that amount.

I think the conditioner is for makeup brushes, not hair brushes. I totally get your anger – I bought the previous mystery box and was seriously disappointed – old stuff, stuff that’s too dark for my complexion – very little of it was wearable. Once bitten, twice shy, as they say.

That’s a lot of money considering I’ve been loading up on mystery boxes a lot–Allure, all three Target boxes, Mally, etc.–but I love this brand! I scoped out sample codes at retailmenot.com and found one for a BB cream, and that worked!

I got one of the last ones and I have so many items that I couldn’t use and no one wants in the swap section. I’m bringing a bunch of the stuff to work to give to the girls as gifts, but I’m letting them pick what they want.

If you click on the individual mystery items, many of the links show what they are. Looks like mostly makeup from the Last Chance section (eyeshadows and 2 brown eyeliners) and a Brush Cleanser.

Hmm, where are you finding that? I can’t seem to access the links like I have been with past BE Mystery Boxes 🙁

Looks like a brush shampoo, two eye primers, two eye shadows (the high shine colors with applicators), an eyeliner, a lipgloss or mascara, a mineral veil of some sort, and probably a brush. I guessed on some of these based on the list prices.

This is my third time getting one. I’ve been pleased with what I’ve gotten so far. Tried a couple of codes and none took.

I love Bare Minerals. Too many great deals this time of the year. I’m going to pass on it. I bought so many beauty specials that I have a backlog of items.

This is such a good deal! I had a 20% off coupon that I got with my tiny prints order. Which puts everything that $3.60 each after taxes.

Had a feeling this would be out this week–was kind of hoping it would be available in January instead. Between the Too Faced, Mally, and Glossybox holiday, I’m going to be swimming in more makeup than I can possibly use. If I end up caving on this one, I’m going to need a 12 step program.
