For my 25 month old daughter, gender neutral box we got a puzzle (CL has been really good about sending us puzzles), a book (i think?) and some really great beeswax crayons, colors are super vibrant and it comes in a plastic case, and they were easy for my daughter to hold. my pick was cheese crackers (we already had the other items from previous boxes). There might have been something else, but the crayons and puzzles (box of 2) were costars in this months box.

first time i have seen a review for the newborn box Im expecting and have been curious as to what they will send. This doesn’t seem gender neutral though Im having a boy so this box would be perfect for me, but if I got this and was having a girl i would be upset

For the baby/child boxes, you might see a pattern that “gender neutral” means “not pink or too girly.” My daughter has plenty of trucks and blue items (which we love!). If we wanted something “girly” we’d probably already have selected it for gender.

I agree! All of those items above I would totally use for my daughter. She has trucks and cars…and tutu’s too. She wears blue all the time, it brings out her eyes!

Citrus lane is by far my favorite and ive tried a few! A customizable option every month which is especially helpful when you can pick your size(you listening Bluum?). I had so many mess ups with Bluum, they keeps sending me clothes and accessories that were either 6 months younger than my toddler or 2 years older(some sunglasses). Most of the stuff she couldn’t use!

I agree! I subscribe to CL for my 3 year old and Bluum for the 11 month old. Every month I get something from Bluum that I feel my son should have received months ago. They just don’t seem on target with his development. For example for his 6 month box he got pacifies for ages 0-6 months, why not send 6-12 months so he could use them for longer? In his 7 month box a size 3m onesie? After 6 months of Bluum I am letting it run out. With CL on the other hand I always get things with for my daughter that are either right on target or a bit of a challenge. For example this month she got a 36 piece puzzle and water color crayons. It took her awhile but she did the puzzle by herself, and the crayons are something unusual that I know she will enjoy in the coming months. She won’t outgrow them immediately like the Bluum items. I have also noticed that a lot of the Bluum items are made in China and CL contains more made in the US items. I’ve seen so many people complain about CL, so it is refreshing to see that someone else seems to agree with me. 🙂
