Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Oct 2014 Monster Mash

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Oct 2014 Info

Each box comes with a brochure detailing the items selected for that month. This month’s theme is “Monster Mash” for October. Last month, they also announced Noshable – their blog and “lifestyle magazine for the every day foodie.” They also recently started a monthly deal for something in their online shop, and this month’s deal is a full-size order of Salty Road Salt Water Taffy in Salty Caramel Apple or Salty Peanut for only $10.98.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Oct 2014 Falafel

Organic Original Falafel Chips by Flamous – 1.6 oz, value: $1.42

Original Cheese Straws by J&M – 1.5 oz, value: $2.2

I thought that the J&M cheese straws were interesting. They taste like Cheez-Its but the texture is very much like a cookie, and they have cayenne pepper in them so they have a very small kick in the aftertaste.

These chips are my favorite discovery this month! The Mediterranean flavor is really great (the ingredients label lists things like turmeric, onion, garlic, spinach, carrot, red and green bell pepper, and tomatoes, along with beans and lots of other yummy things. They’re recommended with hummus but would be great with salsa or other dips! Plus, they’re free of gluten, wheat, dairy, MSG, GMO, preservatives, and anything artificial!

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Oct 2014 Snapea

Buttery Shortbread Square by Clairesquares – 1.05 oz, value: $1.56

Snapea Crisps by Calbee (100 calorie pack) – .75 oz, value: $1

Organic Jelly Beans by Surf Sweets – .5 oz, value: $.92

My dad and I are both huge shortbread cookie fans, and this one is really great. It’s so buttery and not too sweet and has a great texture!

I’ve tried these snapea crisps before, and I liked them alright. Something about the flavor didn’t leave me wanting more, but they’re good for when I need a snack.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Oct 2014 Almond Butter

Justin’s Honey Almond Butter – 1.15 oz, value: $1

Justin’s Chocolate Almond Butter – 1.15 oz, value: $1

Cinnamon and Sugar Bananinha Banana Bar by Nutryvitta – 1.05 oz, value: $1.09

I absolutely love anything from Justin’s, so I was thrilled to see these in my box! They care about what ingredients they use and I haven’t found a nut butter by them I haven’t liked. I always keep some in my purse for snack breaks and eat them straight from the packet, but they’re also delicious on apples, toast, crackers, and basically anything.

Verdict: This was a great month for Love With Food, in my opinion! There was a great combination of snacks I know and love as well as some new discoveries. I know that last month there was some dissatisfaction expressed when Love With Food included a spice packet, a drink mix, and a condiment in what’s supposed to be classified as a “snack box,” so hopefully everyone in general likes this box more, too!

What do you think about this month’s Love With Food box? What snack was your favorite?

Loved this box much more than last month! Not a fan of spicy, so most of it got tossed. However, loved this month. Didn’t care for the cheese straws. Loved the jelly beans a lot!! Love anything by Justin’s…he’s local so I really love supporting him. Banana bar was…umm…interesting. I ate it after playing hockey so probably didn’t notice if it was bad tasting. Overall, very happy with the biz.

I must be the only person who liked the banana bar. Yes, it was very weird and I’ve never had anything like it and banana is my least favorite fruit flavor, but I enjoyed it in some strange way. I’m sure no one else in my family would have liked it. I did get the deluxe box and received two so maybe I’ll try it on my husband and my 9 year old who loves gummy stuff. I’m sure my 6 year old won’t touch it!

My family enjoyed everything in this box except the banana bar. We all agreed “gritty and gross!” We get the deluxe box. I was happy that there were a few things I’ve never tried before

The Snapea Crisps taste exactly like TGIFriday’s Fried Green Beans, so that was a new discovery for me! I also need to get more of those organic Surf Sweets jelly beans… they’re even better than Jelly Belly!

I loved the Falafel chips!!! The cookie seemed greasy, but my daughter liked it. I love banana anything….but NOT that bar!! We Haven’t tried the spread packs, but they look yummy.
I have to purchase the Falafel chips!!

I didn’t care for the cheese straws. The falafel chips tasted great dipped in greek yogurt! I didn’t get the cookie 🙁 but my bf gave me his from his box, and I loved it! That banana bar was gross. Cross between a banana brownie and a gummy bear and NOT in a good way. Threw half of it away. Super stoked to get the Justin’s packets.

I had these falafel chips with a seven layer bean dip and they were extra good! I’m a little skeptical of the Bananiha bar, maybe just too gooey for my taste

I loved the box this month!! I got 3 boxes somehow of the September box and didn’t like anything in them but the popcorn and surprisingly the chewy candies. This month I love everything in it, wish I had gotten 3 of these boxes instead. The falafel chips were alright, didn’t have that much flavor. I really liked the shortbread cookie, I’ve never had shortbread before. I’ve been dying to try the Justin’s almond butter for a long time.

I received this box FREE with a welcome back promo – it was the best box I have ever seen from them. However, value wise it is less that the monthly cost and I canceled again.

I think the value hits $10. I like the fact that they are introducing us to new brands, plus they donate a meal for every box sold.

I liked everything in the box, though I haven’t tried the banana thing yet.
