KloverBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – October 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

KloverBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – October 2014 Kind

Zao Organic Makeup Eye Shadow - FULL SIZE! Value $31.60

KIND Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt Bar - Value $1

I was so excited to see this eye shadow in the box. I just came across the Zao makeup brand a few weeks ago and I really wanted to try it. (I love the bamboo containers with magnet closures too). This eyeshadow has more pigment than I was expecting - a little goes a long way, especially with this white pearlescent shade. It also has a really fine shimmer (AKA no sparkles). I will be buying more from this brand!

KloverBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – October 2014 Acure

Deco Naturals Lip Butters in Butterscotch, Pumpkin Spice and Apple Cider - Value $10.50

Acure Organics Cell Stimulating Body Wash - 2 oz Value $2

I am so excited about these fall flavored lip butters - and I finally get a Pumpkin Spice item I can enjoy!  (This Acure body wash isn't as exciting since I've received it before in subscription boxes, but it is a great product - I love pretty much anything from Acure).

KloverBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – October 2014 Bag

Hands on Hemp Reusable Produce Bag - Value $3.84

BOX Naturals Feminine Wipes (2) - Value $1.50

I can always use more reusable totes, and I like that this one is safe to use in washing machines as some bags don't really have a great way to get them clean. (And who knew - these BOX Naturals Feminine wipes are also available via their own subscription box!)

Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $50 - I think that's great for the $25 cost. Of course the bulk of that value comes from the eye shadow, so if you don't love the eyeshadow, I could see how this box would be a miss.

What do you think of the October KloverBox?

My sister is here and selected the apple cider lip balm which smells like apples. I tried the butterscotch lip balm which smelled so good I could eat it. I can’t believe I opened the eyeshadow upside down. I didn’t even get to use it!

I want to cry. I was looking forward to trying out the eyeshadow and opened it upside-down which caused the eyeshadow to dump out all over my sink and floor. I was excited to try the box mainly for the eye shadow because I haven’t been able to wear regular eyeshadow for years because of my eye disease. My eye doctor felt that organic or mineral eye shadow should be fine. I was so eager to try it out and see if it bothered me. Instead I accidentally dumped it on my sink and floor. It sounds silly, but if I could cry (hard because of my eye disease) I would. I miss wearing eye shadow.

Did you try contacting Kloverbox? I don’t know if they’d do anything about user error, but it’s an honest mistake and worth a try.

I didn’t feel right reaching out to them because it was my mistake. However, KloverBox reached out to me and offered to send a replacement in my November box! I’m happy about that especially since it has been awhile since I wore eye makeup. I can’t wait to try it out and see if I can wear it. I’ll be sure to open it up correctly. It was really nice of the company to reach out to me. Thank You KloverBox!!!

When there is an issue with a product included in a box, are you supposed to contact the product’s company or the sub box? One of my Deco lip butters doesn’t twist up, it only clicks. I let Deco know and told them I don’t want a replacement. They replied they’ll only send me a functional one if I order from them because they really want me to try the product. Again, I don’t need a replacement. Did I handle this properly? I’ve never had an issue with an item in a box before.

I contacted Escape Monthly when I had a problem with one of the items in the Las Vegas box. I don’t know what the proper protocol is in this situation. My guess is that it would be with the sub box because they are the ones that sold the product to you. Still I am not 100% sure.

That does make sense, PA Anna. Thank you! Kloverbox beat me to it. They’ve already emailed me saying they would make it right by sending me another in the mail tomorrow! With a thousand sub boxes out there to choose from, I think customer support really make a box stand out. Although I still declined a replacement (there were three in the box after all), I thanked them for making sure I’m a happy customer.

Kelly

Their customer service is top notch, Ms.Ross emailed me lightning fast about missing shadow to resolve the issue. Thanks for introducing me to this box, and the other organic beauty and food items.

My box arrived on Saturday. I received everything the same as Liz except for KIND bar which is Vanilla Blueberry. I will be keeping everything except for the KIND bar which I will give to my sister because it is gluten-free. I may also give her a lip butter.

I can’t wait to try out the eye shadow especially because of my eye problem. I miss wearing eye shadow! I will be using the reusable produce bag often. I also can’t wait to try out the lip butters and the body wash. I may order something from Acure with the discount code.

I thought it was a nice touch that they wrote Thank You on the inside of the box. I hope they continue to add a snack in the box.

Does the shadow work for you? I have sensitive eyes and absolutely love this shadow.

The eyeshadow is perfect! I saw the eye doctor today and my eyes are doing much, much better. I was worried that the eye shadow will cause problems with my eyes and eyelid margins. She told me that both my eyes and eyelid margins look great. That’s the first time she told me my eyelid margins look great in about 3 years. I was worried about that although she felt if I wore a high quality eye shadow that it would be a non-issue.

I’m excited about wearing eye shadow again and enjoying it. It sounds like such a minor thing. It’s wonderful to be able to enjoy eye shadow again 🙂

Tacie

I just want to say I enjoyed my first box and I’m glad I signed up for the six months. Everything is a hit, but I love that eyeshadow! The color (light brownish), the application (not too heavy and I got to use my new brush from Ipsy), and my goodness the packaging! I will be buying more from Zao.

I received an email that I will be receiving the October box! Yea! Looking forward to using all the products.

Hi-

It says on their site that anyone who signs up by the 18th will get that months box, and that boxes ship from the 18th until the 22nd. So if anyone wants a box, just FYI.

Tacie

I signed up on the 16th and haven’t gotten any email about the October box. 🙁 I did get a receipt for my six month payment… We’ll see if they send anything between now and the 22nd (their site says they ship between the 18th and 22nd).

Sarah

After this review and last months, I signed up for the three month sub. I started having packages sent to my office because I’m moving, and I cut down from 13 subs to now 5 (yogi surprise, bare bliss box, Eco salon, organic authority, and now this box). It’s just so nice to get to the office and have packages. Makes going to work even more fun. I’ll be looking forward to getting this box at work. 🙂

i used the 25% code for a 3 month subscription bringing it to $53.44. Did anyone set up an account with a password? It went through as an order, but nowhere to set up an account.

Just bought six of the lip balms with the 10% off code on the card in the photo. 🙂 What flavors they have! Cotton candy, key lime, orange creamsicle, black raspberry…yum!

Kloverbox has been on my Want list; after a couple more months of Petit Vour, I may have to switch (although Yuzen looks awesome, too…)!

I searched KloverBox on the MSA website and Liz reviewed it last month as well. September was also a nice looking box (although there was a lip balm in that box too, sheesh). I decided to sign up for six months using the code Liz had listed in September’s review. It still works! I’ll be getting this box for $16.88 a month. Niiiice.

After seeing your post I did the same thing. Thanks for pointing out the code still works!

This box interests me!

Great, thanks Liz, another box I “must have”, haha! I hadn’t heard of it before and thought I was doing good getting down to just 2-3 boxes a month. My spare bedroom closet is stacked with boxes! I pray every time I have company they won’t open that closet door or someone might stage an intervention!

Looks like a really nice box!

Now that I’m home and I’ve had a chance to look at this post on my computer (vs the phone), I REALLY like this box. I normally don’t appreciate food in a box, but Kloverbox didn’t count it toward the value. Kind bars are one of my favorites too so it definitely beats chips, tootsie rolls, or suckers! The produce bag is a novel addition to a box. Including THREE lip balms seems like overkill, but not the biggest deal. Plus, they’re made in Michigan, my home state!

Terri

This box wasn’t even on my radar- I can’t recall ever seeing it before but I think I’d love this. I’d love a coupon code to seal the deal…

MSA25 still works for 25% off your first order! I just did it with the 6 month subscription thanks to a comment on here 🙂 It came out to about 16.88 a box that way.

Looks great! Does the card say assorted colors for Zao?

Liz Cadman

Yes – the eyeshadow colors will vary.

Wow! Great sub box! Wish it shipped to Canada.
