Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included for that month. They also include exclusive discount codes for all of the brands featured.

Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Cards

Janod Dominos - Value $16

I couldn't find this exact set online, so I'm estimating the value based on other Janod sets. I love that the box for this set is a reusable little suitcase!

Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Maracas

Hohner Kids Maracas - Value $7

These maracas are BPA free and quite the little noise makers - I almost feel bad about gifting them - the parents may not appreciate the gift!

Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Cape

Little Adventures Hero Cape -Value $17

I like that they included an item that could work for Halloween or anytime!

Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – October 2014 Annies

Annie's Organic Cheddar Snack Mix - Value $.50

Verdict: Lately Citrus Lane has been sending out fewer items per box, and going for the quality over quantity approach. While I miss my "mom gifts," I have no problem with this approach, but it also makes the box a little riskier if you don't like one or more of the items. My box this month has a value of $40, and I'll be able to gift everything, so I'm happy with it.

What did you get from Citrus Lane this month?

For our 14-mo old, we get the gender neutral box and received a large board book about trucks (yay!), the maracas, 2 sample packets of soap, and a North American Bear stuffed animal. I would love the box except for the fact that we had already received the same stuffed animal in his box last December. Has anyone ever received a duplicate item? Are they pretty good about it if you contact customer service?

In order to get a refund you have to eturn the entire box. I’ve also never had a good experience with their customer service (but other people have)

Thanks! I contacted customer service and they gave me a $10 shop credit to pick out something new. However, last week I got an email to customize our upcoming Nov box, and it’s ANOTHER duplicate item (a bumkins superbib). I’m slightly surprised that they repeat items so often. We’ve only been subscribers for a year and haven’t changed my son’s age at all (the box has grown with him–we didn’t jump around and try different age groups). I contacted them immediately and asked if they could substitute something of their choosing for the bib, and they said they unfortunately couldn’t. Not a big deal, but I’ve read on several blogs that bloggers who would have received duplicate items got something different in their boxes and a customized note explaining why. I have loved Citrus Lane over the year we’ve gotten it, but don’t know why they’re repeating items to the same groups of kids who have already gotten them in earlier boxes. Regardless, we love opening the boxes each month, and the majority of the things are a hit!

I got the same main box as you did for my 4 year old, then picked up that extra box deal last month for inactive users. It had a shape boat (10 month+), a mickey wetbag, a baby board book, and a 12 piece “on the go puzzle with storage case”. So, pretty much nothing appropriate for my 4 year old.

I got my 2 year old daughter’s box today and it was the best box we’ve gotten out of the three we signed up for. I got to choose the style of leg warmers she got, so I knew those were coming. She got the maracas, which she absolutely loves. There were also two wooden cars which she proceeded to “vroom vroom” around the coffee table. Grand slam on this month’s box!

My 2 – year old daughters gender – neutral box had a book in lieu of leg warmers, which we also got to choose. Everything else was same.

I got the same for my first box at $15 promo rate. Not sure if the value was even worth that! Considering unsubscribing. So disappointed.

Got mine today for my 5m old baby girl. I don’t know if I love it or feel in between about it, the box was nice but felt empty especially when one of my item was a foil package, so pretty much is like receiving 3 items.

I got a bling ring rattle, cage bell (she loves the bell sound), where do I live soft book and 2 foil samples from Weleda (shampoo and diaper cream)

That’s it exactly! This is why I love your blog. I couldn’t figure out why Citrus Lane felt so different to me and you nailed it. They are definitely weaning off the mom gifts and smaller items/activities (paperback books, sticker sets) and leaning toward one “brand” they promote that month plus another smaller toy. If you don’t like the toy distributor they signed up for that month (ahem, Petit Collage), the month is a total bust. Maybe they should release the brand/distributor and give everyone time to cancel/sign up?

We haven’t received our October box yet, but we love Citrus Lane! I recently bought some subs on Social Living for Christmas gifts! My son always asks if his surprise is here yet. Makes quite the impression!

My daughter got the same box and it was a winner! She has not stopped wearing her cape and I hid the dominoes for a Santa gift. Total score box this month. I loved it.
