Batch Memphis Subscription Box Review - October 2014 Mix

Crazy Mary! Bloody Mary Mixer - Value $8

LeKeith Southern Sauce in Mild Thing - Value $5

This Bloody Mary Mix is made with all natural ingredients and is going straight to our bar! (I'm not a big Bloody Mary fan, but I'm sure someone will enjoy it!)

(The bottle pictured on LeKeith's website is slightly different than this one, but I'm assuming both are the same size for pricing).

Dinstuhl's Cashew Crunch - Value $5?

Sometimes it is a good thing I can't eat dairy - because I'm pretty sure I would devour these!

This box also came with a recipe for Grilled Salmon using the LeKeith sauce.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $18 - a little less than the $19.99 a month cost. That being said, I think this subscription is much more about the curation and getting a taste of Memphis each month than the value. Last month's box value was more than the cost of the box, so I think if you use the 10% off coupon for this subscription you will definitely get your money's worth.

I put the LeKeith’s sauce on some pork chops tonight, it was amazing! Kind of like a mustardy flavor, but so good.

I was born in Memphis and have lived here my entire life. The first box I saw reviewed had nothing widely recognizable/popular in it. At least this box had one TRUE classic Memphis must-have item in it. Dinstuhls is a standby, a household name here. Their chocolates are to die for and that cashew crunch is a true local favorite. We have so many companies here that are tried and true, and have proven themselves. Restaurants that people come from out of town to eat at, and load up on products to take home. I can’t understand why more of those companies aren’t being represented in these Batch boxes. If they truly want to share a taste of Memphis food, so far these boxes have not represented it in the least – with the exception of the Dinstuhls.. Makes me sad because we have some amazing food culture here. All that said- This is just one Memphian’s humble opinion. I’m happy for anyone to disagree and totally love the representation though!

I really like this company, but recently have become frustrated with them. I ordered the Charleston Batch back in may on a 4 month special. Over the past two months, I have had to contact them because they seem to have lost my order and I am not receiving my box until I contact them. I am wondering if anybody has gotten a shipping notice for the October Charleston Batch box?

I only got this box once and cancelled immediately I didn’t like it at all. Then I see this box and still happy I don’t get it. It’s just not for me at all.
