Batch Memphis Review & Coupon Code - September 2014 Info

Batch Memphis Review & Coupon Code - September 2014 Cookies

Mary's Gluten-free Goods Cinnamon Coffee Cake - Value $4.50

Mom's Killer Cakes and Cookies Cupcake Cookies (2) - Value $8

I was pretty excited to see a gluten-free treat in this box, but unfortunately for me it is made with dairy. (This is fortunate for my husband though - I know he'll love it). And these cookies are so professionally decorated. I think I'll gift them!

Batch Memphis Review & Coupon Code - September 2014 Cards

Arch'd cards - Value $20

I couldn't find this exact card set on their etsy shop, but given that an 8 X 10 print is $20, I thought $20 for these 4 4X5 cards with envelopes was a fair estimate.

Verdict: At first I was a little disappointed when I opened the box - 3 items sometimes just doesn't feel like enough items in a subscription box! After looking at the products and the value though I think this is a good box. The value is about $32, and this box is more about curation than value too.

What do you think of Batch Memphis?

I subscribe to this box because I live in a suburb of Memphis and thought it would be fun to discover new things in my area…I have to say I was a little disappointed in this month’s box….my “cold packs” were not cold at all, so I don’t think they really helped keep the food fresh…the coffee cake was good but rather small, and I wouldn’t pay $4 a piece for those cookies…they were beautiful but not very large, and my boyfriend thought they were stale. I would instead head to Muddy’s Bake Shop and get a lot more for my money!!

I did love the notecards from Arch’d—they are beautiful AND I also happen to know the two young women who own this business. Kristen and Lindsey Archer grew up with my two oldest children, and it is really cool to see their merchandise included in a subscription box! Those notecards saved the day–I am thinking of having them matted and framed.

I do hope Batch Memphis improves their boxes in the future, or I don’t know how long I will hang around after my 3-month subscription is up.
