Wantable is a monthly subscription service that has 3 different plans: Makeup, Accessories, and Intimates. (And coming soon – Fitness!) It’s one of the pricier subscriptions ($36 a month), but everything they send is full size, and they fully customize the boxes based on your preferences.

Wantable sent me this makeup box at no cost to review.  (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Wantable Makeup Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Blush

Tarina Tarantino Doll skin Blush Palette - Value $45 (on sale today at HauteLook for $24)

I'd say the most exciting makeup product in subscription boxes is the palette - it's a high-value item and you're likely to find at least a few shades that work great for you. I was so excited for this palette, but as you can see from the photo one of the blush pans cracked in shipping. Fortunately I like to go with more subtle blush colors, so at least it was the boldest color that was destroyed!

(FYI - since I received this box for no cost and I can use this blush anyway I'm not reaching out to Wantable for a replacement, but if

Wantable Makeup Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Marsk
Marsk Mineral Bronzer in Bondi Bronze - Value $42

OFRA Eye Gel Primer - Value $19.50

Marsk has been on my list of natural makeup lines I want to try, so this was a perfect addition to my box. It's a little on the shimmery side, so I think I'll save it for next summer though.

I was also happy to see this OFRA item in the box since eye shadow primer is one of those items I just never get enough of in subscription boxes.
Wantable Makeup Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Stain

Vincent Longo Lip and Cheek Stain in Liquid Kiss - Value $22.50

This stain color reminds me of a dark red wine, but it blends into the skin for a very subtle effect - perfect for someone like me who is a little weary of stains for cheeks!

Verdict: I recently changed my Wantable preferences to expand what I was willing to try, and I think it really paid off in terms of value. This month's box has a value of about $130! I think this is my favorite Wantable box to date - I'll use everything, and all the products are new to me!

Ooo.. I like the Blush. I really like Tarino Tarintino they have a lot in boxycharm. This does look like the best box I’ve seen you review. I’ve been needing an eye shadow primer too. I have yet to receive one from sub boxes as of yet. I guess I just need to make a purchase myself. I was cut back this month due to expecting a baby and called my bank and was charged twice by boxycharm and never charged by ipsy because my payment was declined on the 2nd. I contacted them because I got paid on the 3rd. They said they tried again and didn’t go through. I contacted my bank and they said they never tried again. They only tried twice on the 2nd so now I am not getting this box until I put money in my bf account and update hoping they charge me. It’s really odd. I haven’t commented much but I spent the last few days at the dr. They said they think I miscarried. Just a bad month. I was going to sign up for Sample Society and I spent one day at the hospital and missed the dead line by one day. I just went ahead and signed up for Birchbox again so that I have a few boxes to look forward to. I’m soooo hoping ipsy gets straightened out this had really worried me because this looks like a great month and I don’t know why they have no re charged or having trouble. What a mess. I skipped blush this month because the only items I was interested in was the small hyperpigmentatiom cream and the juice lip gloss. It’s the first month I decided to skip. I am excited that I get a free Fabfitfun box though for my code being used. Super exited about that! Thanks to Liz allowing me to post codes in the comments. Love this site. Liz is awesome! 🙂

I decided to try the makeup for the first time. I already received my Sept accessory box which I pushed through early for hair accessories.

Liz on the one that’s broken just break it up more, stir in rubbing alcohol until it turns pasty, press down with a piece of wax paper gently to get out air bubbles, and in a by 24 to 48 hours voila like new. The alcohol evaporates and color/texture/formula is not compromised. It’s an old makeup artist’s trick. There are dozens of YouTube videos on it if you want to see it in action just look up fix broken blush or eyeshadow.

So happy you put this! I was thinking the same thing but didn’t have time to comment yesterday. It’s a great life hack!!

Funny you mentioned that Tarina Tarantino is on Hautelook today, because I just ordered one of the lip sheens and a blush (not the palette though) on there today (along with a few Nordstrom Rack items to hit the free shipping threshold). Discovered the Tarina lip sheen in last month’s Boxycharm and loved it, so figured I’d try another shade.
Now I’m tempted to un-skip my Wantable Makeup box this month, but I need to make up for getting PopSugar this month (and am getting makeup in some other boxes, too). Wantable must think I’m nuts because I’ve switched around whether I’m skipping the Intimates, Makeup, or Accessories boxes like 3 times in the past week! Currently settled on just getting an Accessories box, since I like their description of their fall collection. I should be getting that soon, so we’ll see if I made the right choice!
