Trunk Club is a men's stylist box similar to Stitch Fix. (It's not a monthly subscription though - you can schedule your boxes as frequently as you like).
Unlike Stitch Fix (the women's stylist service), there is no upfront stylist fee. You sign up and you get a call from your stylist. (My husband kind of hated that part since we are the type of people who prefer to do all things online if possible, but it wasn't that bad.) He let the stylist know what kind of clothing he was looking for (casual - we both work from home).
She then sent him a link with the items she had picked out for him. He had 24 hours to reject any item he definitely didn't want, and then the rest would ship. This was a great feature because there were a few items that definitely weren't for him, so he was able to prevent them from shipping them only for him to ship them right back.
And then the Trunk Club box arrived a day or two later via FedEx!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Ralph Lauren Long Sleeve Mock Button Neck Sweater - Cost to Keep $165
I should mention before we get too far into this review that Trunk Club sends out high-end and high-price pieces. I've been encouraging my husband to try out this service for over a year but he was hesitant about the prices. I used the argument I use with myself and StitchFix - if you absolutely LOVE a piece and you'll wear it a lot, then it's worth the cost. If not - send it back!
This sweater ended up going back. It was a super soft knit, but just didn't fit right.
Vince Thermal Pull Over Henley - Cost to Keep $165
This item was a little snug as well so it went back. One thing we learned going from American Eagle to higher-end fashion brands is that the sizing is a little smaller. If you're debating what size to request from Trunk Club, I recommend sizing up.
Gant Rugger The Boucle Crew Neck Sweater - Cost to Keep $185
This was one of the items my husband wasn't sure about when he got to preview the items online. Turns out - just not his style.
Original Max's Garments OMG Hoodie - Cost to Keep $118
Isn't amazing when $118 starts to look cheap compared to the other items in this box? My husband loved this hoodie, but couldn't justify keeping it at this price point since he already has a ton of hoodies. (His hoodie collection rivals my maxi collection!)
Quinn Aaron Double Layered Placket Henley - Cost to Keep $295
This sweater was a good pick style-wise for Eric - the henley neckline keeps it from being too formal. It was another item that was just a little too snug though so it went back.
Rag & BoneRB15X 5 Pocket Twill - Cost to Keep $195
While a lot of the tops weren't a good fit, the pants were a lot easier to get right. These pants were a keeper!
Fidelity 5011 Denim - Cost to Keep $179
We sent this jeans back since Eric picked out the next pair of Fidelity jeans:
Fidelity 5011 Denim - Cost to Keep $198
DL1961 Russell Slim Straight Denim - Cost to Keep $168
Slim fit doesn't work for my husband - these went back too.
J Shoes Civil Washed Canvas - Cost to Keep $104
These shoes were a hit. And a bargain compared to the other price points in this box! 🙂
Verdict: We ended up keeping three items in this trunk. After getting over the initial sticker shock of prices, and realizing these are really high quality pieces, my husband absolutely loved this service. The Trunk Club site is really easy to use to give feedback on all of your items, and they make shipping back your items super easy (and free). You just schedule a pickup from FedEx.
So in summary, this is a high-cost box, but it also is a very high-end service. I also like that there is zero cost for the whole experience - just pay for what you want to keep.
