Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – September 2014 Puzzle

Crocodile Creek Ice Cream Truck Puzzle - Value $11

Creativity for Kids Creativity Can "Stories" - Value $10

I love the Ice Cream Trunk box for this puzzle - so cute! And the wheels even work! This Creativity Can comes with a story book and tons of craft material - but no instructions. It's supposed to be all free-flowing creative crafts!

Citrus Lane Review & Coupon Code – September 2014 Red Hen

Somersaults Cinnamon Crunch Snack - Value $1

The Little Red Hen - Value $9

My husband loves Somersaults so this little snack was a nice addition for him - but I miss the mom extra items! (AKA a beauty item for me!)

I was surprised to see that Debra Messing co-authored this book. (Or at least recorded the accompanying CD).

Verdict: We paid $21 for this box (6-month subscription) and received about $31 worth of products .  I've definitely had better value Citrus Lane boxes, but I do like that each one of the three main items in this box is a gift on its own. (I subscribe to this box for gifts).

What did you get from Citrus Lane this month?

I signed up for a monthly subscription box last month and it just finally arrived this week. I would really like to say that I loved it but there are some issues…. The products we received seemed pretty good. (Not sure on the equivalence of cost to items though). However, I chose to “add-on” two items to my order for this month. They charged me for both but only sent me one. I’ve since sent them an email and tried numerous times to contact someone on the phone and have never received any responses. Each time I’ve tried to call I always get the message that they are experiencing long hold times and after waiting for approx. 10 minutes I get shoved to a voicemail box. I’ve left several messages but no one has called me back. Citrus Lane basically stole money from me. I’m giving them another 24 hours. If I don’t hear back I’m canceling my subscription. Not so sure this is a reliable company…..

I just received the October box for my 8 month old and I am not seeing the value (since the highest price was $29, I expected at least $29 worth of stuff).

I received a board book (MSRP $7.99), a stuffed animal (MSRP $12), a bell rattle ($8, age 3 mo+), and a very small sample (maybe 1 application) of body wash and diaper ointment. $28 total.

The book is great (we love books and that one we’ve checked out from the library at least once too), I understand the stuffed animal (although everyone has gotten her a stuffed animal), but the rattle is a disappointment. At 8 months she still likes rattles, but we generally prefer to offer more developmentally advanced toys (blocks, a triangle, a harmonica, little cymbals, piano, etc).

So I think that at even $10/mo the boxes just don’t fit with my parenting style to be that valuable.

My 1 year old got a long sleeved onesie in a cute pattern (that I expected as I was allowed to choose size before it shipped), foam 3D bath puzzle, a pouch of food, and another Meyers Dish Soap mini bottle. I added on a Halloween trick or treat bag.

I’ve gotten the dish soap before, and have gotten numerous food pouches from CL. The onesie is cute but I’m not sure about the foam bath pieces yet. I guess everything will be used but I didn’t feel giddy about my box this time around. /shrug

I received my Citrus Lane last week. Ordered it for my newborn nephew. I received a 3-6 mos. long sleeve onesie (which will be way too big), a wooden rattle toy, a trial size dishsoap and 2 small trial size diaper rash cream. It was a cute package, but to me not worth their normal price. I’m glad I got it for $5. I think the dishsoap and the diaper cream aren’t good items. I never used diaper cream on my son when he was a baby (I never had a need for it).

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a mom day they never had to use diaper cream!! Lol. I have two toddlers and it’s a staple in our house and every single mom friend I have!

I received my CL today too. My daughter is 4m so we received, an onesie from tea collections (big item $24); gripe water, a rainbow rattle (Amazon for $13.12) and for mommy Mrs. Meyers soap.

Feeling so so about it the onesie is really nice, its 6-12m but my daughter is so tiny at 4m shes still on 0-3m so hopefully when the weather is still cool she would be able to wear it.

Mystery boxes are wonderful in the other hand, received mine too.
Twist keys, essie by A+A, diaper rash, bib, a klick- klack, wooden toy by Melissa and Doug. I think thats it

I got the same box as you for my daughter. I am glad I got this subscription through Gilt at a much lower price. I won’t be renewing after my 6 months is up.

I don’t see that the puzzle is worth $11. Maybe I’m just used to buying less expensive (not fancy brands) for my kids. It is a cute box, but it isn’t going to last too long with use.

And last month we got that shoe horn. I really didn’t even know anyone used the anymore! My daughter has managed all this time without one!

On a side note, my MSA box is due to be delivered today! YAY!
