Pre-Order Limited Edition Harpers Bazaar GlossyBox

UPDATE: This is the September GlossyBox - not a stand alone Limited Edition box. (Although you can buy it separately in the links below and not sign up for a subscription).

The Box: Harper's BAZAAR Glossy Box

The Cost: $21 with free shipping (I had to pay $1.47 tax in PA)

The Products: 5 beauty products. (3 of which will have variations).

This box is in pre-order mode - you can buy it today and it will ship starting September 1st.

This Limited Edition set has a value of about $67, and I think I'll use every item so I bought one! (UPDATE - I guess I'm getting two boxes in September)

I’ll be canceling my glossybox subscription before they charge me for September! I’ve been a member since the very first month, but it’s been getting worse and worse. This preview is the final nudge to give it up. Ughhh! Horrible everything! It’s sad they’ve no longer luxe and giving us unusual brands from around the world. That’s what I lived most!

Argghhh! I wish I had known this was going to be the September GlossyBox! I ordered one from the Harper’s Bazaar website thinking it would be materially different from the regular subscription box. So I guess I’ll have 2 of the September boxes- which means I’ll be swapping the contents of one entire box- unless I fall in love with a particular item.

I guess I’m confused — do you need to order this separately if you already have a Glossybox subscription?

No – if you already have a GlossyBox subscription you will get this box for September. It originally looked like this was a limited edition box since it was for sale from Harper’s Bazaar, but I confirmed with GlossyBox that it is the same as the September box.

Haloween lipstick and more nail polish! :-/ I wish at least mascara was full size… I am not sure about perfume shampoo or even worse conditioner?! Why not body wash, that would be much nicer… I don’t like September glossybox when I compare with July one

I want that black red lip tar! This is a new color I haven’t gotten I to yet but it’s really popular ok the runways!

Cindy

Hope I get the shampoo that doubles as a body wash because I’m pretty particular about my hair products and would prefer to use what I pick out myself. As for that lip tar, could they have picked less flattering colors?

I’m new to Glossy Box—do they usually get the dregs of things (like that lip product) that are not selling?

Katie

Yes. Any colored cosmetic item I’ve received from has been a super ugly color – burnt oranges and browns.

Cindy

Thanks for the confirmation. It appeared that way from the color choices. UGH!

Jessica

I rarely wear color on my lips, except for maybe a nude/pink or something very sheer. I was excited at first because I’ve been wanting to try the OCC Lip Tar, but I looked up the colors on Sephora’s website, and they are scary! The Black Dahlia is described as a black red, like super black, and the authentic is a coppery orangy red. I hope I get the authentic because with the black dahlia I will look like a serious goth! I will be happy to try it out either way, but I am surprised that they chose these colors out of all of the ones available.

Actually they are referred to as “blackest blackened red” and “bronzed, copper frost” LOL! Neither description sounds appealing to me! I’ll make it work somehow by mixing it with some other things I have.

Is it just me or is anyone else over Essie polishes? I don’t find the formula to be very good in terms of color or coverage. And they have been included in so many boxes the last 3 months. And it’s not exactly what I consider “luxe.”

It’s also apparently the summer of “They’re Real,” which is actually fine by me since it’s my new favorite. I now have 4 with 1 in reserve.

Given that I paid $16 with a 3 month sub, the Vichy and Benefit alone are $11 over my investment. So it’s a win for me.

I think this will be my 3rd of those mascaras so I hope I like it when I get to it.

I don’t mind Essie polish, I only have one but it works for me. Granted, I change my nail polish at least twice a week so I never have it on long enough to get too many chips.

I paid less than $15 for this box because I bought a year at a huge discount. And I totally don’t believe they’ll start shipping September 1. This is Glossybox we’re talking about.

Julie

Do you know if there’s any way to specify the color nail polish you get?? I have one of those colors and while I love it, I’d prefer a different one 🙂

Erin

None that I’ve ever seen. It’s luck of the draw with Glossy.

because of the Essie ( I really don’t like this polish formula) and the benefit mascara I won’t be getting this box. Not liking 2 out of the 5 things is a deal breaker. Glossy’s shipping takes forever too!

I’m passing.

I need to cut back on boxes!

Probably I’ll pass on this one. I tried the OCC Lip Tar from a Sephora collection and it didn’t do much for me. Don’t really need nail polish or mascara. Price is good, though. We’ll see how I feel in a few weeks, if it doesn’t sell out.

Is this the September box for Glossybox subscribers? The spoiler for the September box was the Benefit mascara.
