Horror Block Subscription Box Review – August

Horror Block is a brand new subscription box from Nerd Block. As soon as Nerd Block announced this box we signed up – my husband loves horror movies. This is the third box to date from Horror Block.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Shirt

Alien Tee - Value $15?

All Horror Blocks come with a new t-shirt each month. So far all the shirts we've received have been well-made with 100% cotton.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Saw

Cult Classics Hall of Fame Saw Jigsaw Killer - Value $15

Finger Bone Pen - Value $2

I am not into scary movies at all (this box is totally for my husband), but I actually have seen the Saw movies. I think we'll be swapping this figure.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Zombie

Zombie fan Wrap Car Window Decal - Value $15

One of our friends is obsessed with all things zombie, so I think he'll be getting this to put in his car!

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – August 2014 Crypt

Rue Morgue Magazine - Value $10

Tale From The Crypt Comic Vintage Reproduction - Value $2

Rue Morgue has been in a staple in every box so far, so I think it is now safe to say you can expect a t-shirt and a Rue Morgue magazine in every Horror Block box!

Verdict: We paid $30 for this box and received about $60 worth of items. The value is great, but like all the other Block subscriptions, each month it really comes down to if you like the characters/movies/tv shows/comics featured. This box wasn't a hit for my husband, but he'll use the t-shirt and gift/swap the rest.

What do you think of the August Horror Block subscription box?

I might have to order this for myself. I canceled Ipsy and my monthly Birchbox (I ordered a year gift subscription for myself using points so I will still get it for a year). Canceling those 2 will almost pay for Horror Block. I just recently bought a 6 month subscription to Loot Crate for husband and son.

I too received this box this month. Thoroughly impressed with it, since I am a fan of Alien and Saw!

I am so excited about the horror block box. I am waiting to get my first box in October (seems appropriate!) since my splurge for September is the MSA box!
