This month’s box held a beautiful, sustainably-made woven basket with the rest of the contents inside.

GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box Subscription Review - July 2014 Items

Here are the rest of the items included this month, unpacked.

GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box Subscription Review - July 2014 Notebook

The first item is a simple, well-made, blank-page notebook with a paper cover and fabric binding. I can never have too many notebooks! The cards telling the artisans’ stories say that this one is made via sustainable purposes (rescued branches, wood scraps, and logs) and no trees are cut down for this artist’s work.

GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box Subscription Review - July 2014 Wallet

Here is what the wallet looks like opened up: one side unsnaps to reveal a cash pocket, mirror, and 4 card slots; then there’s the divided coin pouch and on the other side unsnaps for two clear-front ID holders/card slots. It has that new-leather smell and feels very soft to the touch.

GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box Subscription Review - July 2014 Meditate

The last things in the box were a carved, wooden keychain that says “meditate” on it and a gift code for a free, digital 21-Day “Creating Abundance” Meditation Challenge through the Chopra Center – a $49.99 value.

Verdict: I sincerely enjoyed experiencing this GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box. Learning about the stories and work the artisans are doing – not simply in their craft but also in the lives of others and within their communities – is really uplifting. The high value of his box goes further than the monetary estimates. The items in this box are well-made and meaningful, and even if I end up swapping or gifting one or two things, I know they are a product of something good, sustainable, and positive. This is one of my favorite boxes to-date.
What do you think about the GlobeIn Artisan Gift box? Which item do you like the most?

I subscribed for a few months last year and just loved it! This year I bought myself a full year for my birthday. Can’t wait to see what’s inside!

I just received my first box from them this month and I was very pleased. I chose the variety box, not just jewelry and not just for the home. I said that I like jewelry and fabric. They sent me a lovely bracelet, a woven bookmark, and a woven coin purse. Their information cards about the artists are great too. I’m looking forward to next month!

Off topic, but what happened to Liz?? Did I miss something? Also I’m no longer seeing if these were sent for review purposes or bought.
I love craft boxes like this, they have the coolest stuff

Hi Carol,

I’m still here reviewing the majority of the boxes, but Haley helps out with reviews so we can get even more boxes covered! Also, if the box was sent to us for review purposes we’ll mention it at the beginning of the review. It’s mentioned in the first block of text in this review. Hope that helps! 🙂

O no – U had to say that – LOL – I like interesting artist jewelry. – Yet I really, really don’t need another box right now. – Time for me to go look at their site – I hope I won’t be more tempted to get this box.

Was this considered the surprise box? Just wondering what the home box would include. I’m done with make up subs until I use up what I have but I’m always looking for nice home subs.

I really like this box! – Anyone know of a coupon code or for promotion for the first box? …. I’m to cheap to spend $29.99 on the first box. Yet I would really like to try this box.
