Wantable Makeup Subscription Box Review - June

Wantable is a monthly subscription service that has 3 different plans: Makeup, Accessories, and Intimates. It’s one of the pricier subscriptions ($36 a month), but everything they send is full size, and they fully customize the boxes based on your preferences.

Wantable kindly sent me this makeup box at no cost to review.

You get to take a very detailed survey of what items you love, like and dislike. You won’t receive anything in your dislike list. Just recently they updated their makeup quiz to give you more preference options.

I received the same eyeshadow trio in different colors from Sample Society, so I'm happy to have another one in shades that I'll be more likely to use!

This is a cute little wristlet, but I do not need any more clutches, wristlets, or makeup bags! (I didn't realize that makeup bags were a part of the makeup tools category, so I went into my profile and updated it to no more tools!)

Mirabella Neon Muse Mascara - Value $30

Liberty Republic Fake It - Value $8

This mascara is a little scary bold neon for me, but I think I'll use it very sparingly over black mascara for just a little pop of color. (I also just updated my account to indicate no more false eye lashes for me!)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $84. I think I would have been happier with my items if I had remembered to update my profile preferences in time, but I am pleased with both of my eye makeup items.

This was an almost perfect box. Black mascara and eyeliner are much too dramatic with my fair skin. The bag is cute, but not useful for me.

The Mirabella eyeshadows are great. The compacts are sturdy and the perfect size to hold in my hand while I apply. There is space for two shadows in each compact. The shadows arrived in small packets the size and shape of a pack of matches. The shadow is held in place by a magnet in the compact.

One of the shadows arrived broken. As I cleaned it off my hands etc, I noticed the intensity of the color — and the range of color possible depending on how it is applied. The shadow has an amazing texture, it is soft and feels silky on my skin.

Just wonderful. I went to their website to replace the broken shadow. The shadows are $10 each and available in many rich colors. However, since the minimum shipping is $13 — more than the cost of the shadow — I didn’t bother.

I am very picky about eye shadow. There are only a few I like. This is one of them, but it is too expensive: 4 shadows ($40), a case for 4 ($17) and shipping(13.61) is $70.16.

I just got my first box. I am so so with it. I will definitely be updating my preferences. I got an Ofra black gel eyeliner, not really a fan of the gel kind, but since it is black, I will give it another go, Vincent Longo pressed powder compact (this I will use), a Cailyn Cosmetics lip balm which is the exact same color as my lips so it may as well be chapstick, but the bottle and applicator are cute, and Liberty Republic nail polish in Lovespell which is almost identical to one of the Julep colors that I just received. The value of the box was $75, so a little less than what I had thought it might be, but a good value still. I think I will like this box once I get my preferences a little more to my liking.

I received 2 Mirabella eyeshadow compacts with 4 eyeshadow singles and 2 lip pencils! I love the Mirabella eyesshadow. I hate it when I forget to update my profile for Wantable!
