Treatsie definitely isn’t a high value sub, it’s more about the curation. The value always seems to be a little over what I pay including shipping. Also, they do ship with ice packs for those worried!
I’m on month 4 of this sub and I love it.

Tempting but I since haven got my treasie box this month. Sent 2 emails. Tracking is stuck, hasn’t moved. I hope they sent replacement or at least the items are intact, getting a little concerned

I’m so glad this is both expensive and not a good value because otherwise I’d be all over it and my thighs would not be happy!

It’s not even a good deal. Those bars in the pictures, for example, are $8. 8×5 – 40. But they probably won’t always send out chocolate bars that sell for $8. They have other bars between $3.50 to $8 in their shop. So, you’re probably better off just buying from their shop. Not to mention, you might get something you don’t like in the choco bar box, whereas if you pick what you want, you want.
Plus, they send tons of discount codes for their shop and shipping is a flat rate of $5. The choco box sub is $6.95. Seems like a bad deal to me.

you get what you want* – for the end of the first paragraph. My brain is dead today.
But just ranting about how this particular sub is not worth it, cuz when you want chocolate, you can just buy it. Even the stuff they offer!

Seems odd that they would launch this just in time for summer. Unless they ship with icepacks there are going to be a lot of boxes filled with melty chocolate.

They do ship with cooler packs, actually. I just got my box, and they made me sign for it. It came in a FedEx box with a big, insulated silver back with a cooler pack in it. That packaging must be expensive! =]

That explains why the shipping costs more, I guess. And it’s good to know they thought of everything. But, having to sign for packages is kind of a problem since I am not home during the day. Recently got into an argument with Amazon and Lasership over that very issue (I won, they’re using UPS only for my address now). Oh well, I don’t NEED any chocolate.

Yep! I’m in AZ and won’t be ordering chocolate through the mail. Heck, I have to put it in a cooler on the drive home from the grocery store so it doesn’t melt.

I really wanted to sign up for this, but doing the math I just can’t justify either that much money (over $7 apiece – yikes!!) or that many calories 🙂
I may cave down the road…

Couldn’t agree more! Even for artisan chocolate bars, that’s pretty steep! I sub to the regular Treatsie box, and I think it’s a pretty good deal, but I’m really only interested in the chocolate;)

I should just buy one fancy chocolate bar a week at Whole Foods. Loads cheaper and I can’t eat 5 or 6 candy bars in the same week if I don’t have them around the house.

You’ve summed up my feelings pretty well, too. I looked into a lot of chocolate subscriptions a month or two ago and they were all too expensive for me. (Plus, I shudder to think of what would happen to chocolate bars outside my front door in Georgia in the summertime.)
