Lip Factory Beauty Box Review - November 2013

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included. This month's theme is - it's all about the lips!

Lip Factory Beauty Box Review - November 2013

Medusa Lip Gloss in Gossip - Value $8

Palladio Lipstick - Value $7

Fortunately this lipgloss does not go on as vibrant and neon as it looks in the bottle!

Lip Factory Beauty Box Review - November 2013

Retractable Lip Brush - Value $3.88

Medusa Lipstick in Baroque - Value $12

This lipstick has some of the best packaging I've ever seen - I love that the top of the lipstick tube is a rose!

Lip Factory Beauty Box Review - November 2013

Designer Skin Fall Lip Shimmer - Value $7.30

MODEL Co. Lip Couture Lipstick - Value $17

Verdict: I'm not the biggest lipstick fan (I prefer lipgloss over lipstain), so I'll be giving some of these lipsticks to friends. Because of that, this wasn't my personal favorite Lip Factory box, but the value was definitely great. I paid $22 for this box and received $55 worth of full size makeup products.

What did you think of the November Lip Factory box?

My shades are different than those featured above. The lip brush seems too big and bristles too flimsy to work as a lip brush – considering taking a good sharp pair of scissors and trimming the bristles so I have something useful. Though the brush is light and has a kind of a cheap feel about it. The designer skin lipgloss smells like peppermint and looks nice with layered with the model co lipstick. The medusa’s makeup lipgloss smells like artificial grape which is great if you like grape pop. The grape pop smell/taste is not my favourite. I haven’t tried the palladio lip stick and I’m contemplating just donating it (unopened of course) with an accumulation of other items to a women’s shelter because it isn’t especially appealing to me. Bottom line: three of six items excite me and I am certain I’ll use them so considering the price I paid this box is a winner. Medusa’s makeup is a brand I haven’t tried of heard of before this box and I think its really interesting – hope to try more products so long as they don’t smell like artificial grape in the future. I can’t wait for next month because there will be more of a varied product.

Can you customize the shades you get with this box at all?

There is a questionnaire when you sign up. I watched YouTube unboxings and noticed that a dark-skinned woman received darker colours and a light-skinned woman received lighter shades. Hopefully that helps.

I think lip factory is the best. It is true that their customer service is excellent. I sent them an email and they replied within the hour. This is my second box and I’m thrilled. For the most part the colors of my products were perfect. Most of the time, I am pleasantly surprise when I try beauty products that I would not have bought myself. I have found that membership beauty boxes in general have made me think outside the box as far as my beauty routine. Being a newbie of beauty boxes I must say that Lip factory exceeded my expectations. The first month I subscribed to all the beauty boxes available to see what they were about. Since then I have cancelled most of them except for Lip factory and a few others.

This month is also my second month with Lip Factory and I agree that it is the best of the bunch. I can’t wait to see what LF offers next month! 🙂

One thing I really love about Lip Factory is how they really, really care about the customers. I sent them an email some time back to say that I loved their stuff but that I preferred not to wear pink lip stuff. The colors they sent me were different than yours because of that! My Medusa lipstick looked neon purple like your gloss, but looks like a pale red when worn. My Medusa gloss was an awesome glazed topaz brown, which was totally a pleasant surprise when I tried it. My Palladio was a dark berry. I’m all about the all-about-the-lips thing

Liz, I’m with you! I love lip glosses as long as they are the consistency that I like and not tooooo gooey! But I do use Lip sticks usually with some sort of lip balm under them. I know without a doubt I will hang onto Medusa Pretty rose lipstick. I love the color I got, but love the packaging!!! I need to carry that around and use it when I am out and about at a holiday dinner or luncheon!
