How to Get Off the Ipsy Waitlist Today!

One question I always see in the comments on my Ipsy reviews is "how long does it take to get off the waistlist?" I never had an answer on this question (I have no idea how the waitlist system works). But today I have a great answer: you can now get off the waitlist immediately and guarantee you will get the December Ipsy Glam Bag!

If you are on the waitlist (having entered all of your CC info):

  1. Go to this link: www.ipsy.com/popup/welcome/skipWaitlist
  2. Connect with Facebook Connect, and then share to your Facebook Page.
  3. That's it! This will then automatically get you off the Waitlist and you will receive the next Glam Bag. (Your activation is immediate - you don't have to wait for any friends to sign up for Ipsy or even click through your link you shared on Facebook).

FYI - this is a brand-new feature, so I don't know how long it will be available for. I couldn't personally test it myself since I already have an active subscription. Please let us know how it worked for you in the comments!

Been waiting on the list for 2 months. I do not have Facebook. Maybe I should just make up a fake one.

Its just not worth it to me. I don’t want to reccomend Ipsy until ive at least tried it. I’ve been waitlisted now for 3 months. Seems like a big marketing ploy to me.

I have been on the Ipsy ‘Waitlist’ for almost 3 months. I do not have facebook, so I can’t “skip the wait”. Birchbox is looking like a much better option. Also, from the loads of reviews I have read, Ipsy sends more ‘drug store’ type products, while Birchbox is higher end.

I had to wait to get Ipsy about 2-1/2 months. Then I had it for about 5 months but really didn’t enjoy anything about it. I don’t remember anything I received but everything was really small so it would fit into the makeup bag provided each month. Just cancelled this month.
On the other hand, I have multiple Birchbox accounts. 1 account for $8.25 / mo (annual) and another I gifted to myself for $0.00/ mo. They have lots of special offers and their point system is wonderful.
Just giving my experience with the 2 boxes. You might end up loving Ipsy once you get off the wait list. Best Wishes!

My “skip the wait” didnt work or is it not automatic? Or does a friend actually have to take the referral? I don’t think any of my friends would be remotely interested

Could’nt I just use my own referral link and subscribe again. That would make my first subscription off the wait list and the second would stay on wait list. Later I can deny the second subscription if they ever do get that one off wait list..?

They do have a gift option: https://www.ipsy.com/giveagift but it’s been sold out for months. I wish there was a way to get around this too, since I’ve been wanting to gift this to a friend since the summer.

I got off the wait list too. I’m bummed I won’t be getting the November bag though. Lots of full sized products in that bag. I’m hoping the December bag is just as good if not better!
