Discover with Marta Subscription Box Review - Fall 2013

S.W. Basics of Brooklyn - Value $3.75

Michael Todd Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask - 1 oz Value $10

I love this lip balm from S.W. Basics (I buy the 4-pack tin every month or two so I'm never without it!). And I can't wait to try this Pumpkin facial mask - I think I have another one from Ipsy I've been meaning to use, and now that it's pumpkin spice season it's perfect timing!

Skinfinite Platinum PM Retinol Cream - Deluxe sample Value $20

ReLuma Eye Cream - .17 oz Value $31.67

Medik8 Retinol 3 TR - 3 mL Value $13.60

Lots of retinol products in the box this month! I'm currently trying out the serum and dark spot corrector from the Le Metier de Beaute October box, so these products will have to wait a while until I get to them! (I will be trying this eye cream immediately though!)

Your Best Face Skincare Samples: Clarity Green Tea Mask, Advance CE Concentrate, Boost, Private Reserve Energy Blend - Approx value $15

Verdict: I paid $24 for this box ($144 for the year upfront) and received over $90 worth of skincare products this month. I'm excited to try everything, and while I wish they didn't include foil sample packets, there are enough deluxe size samples to keep me happy! What do you think of the Fall 2013 Discover with Marta box?

This is my first box from Discover by Marta…… its ok.
I use prescription Retin -A so I wasn’t too thrilled about getting products that contain retinol . I also didn’t care for the foil packets.
Also I just recently purchased a pumpkin mask , but Im still exited to try this one from Michael Todd. Hopefully the next box will have products that I don’t already have.

As an esthetician and someone who is incredibly picky about quality ingredients that are active but not harmful, I am always impressed with these kits. I looooove the Fall collection. Every single product is excellent. I typically use a sample and either it’s not memorable or my skin doesn’t take to it easily. The cleanser is wonderful, lactic, salicylic, yogurt extract, various citrus extracts. So cleansing but not drying. The pumpkin mask is to die for. Hydrating and brightening and smells like pumpkin rolls! Love the retinol products, they are responsible and great quality, unlike retin a. The concentrated packets are stellar. Love the vit c mixed with the boost moisturizer. Def one of my favorite subscriptions (and I have many!).

$24.00 every other month doesn’t sound bad but if you pay $144 upfront fee, they should at least give bottle samples not foil packets. I think i will pass.

I just signed up for this subscription yesterday. The fall sample collection is not as good as the summer one IMP. I will probably give the retinol samples to my mom. : )
