Hammock Pack Subscription Box Review - August 2013

Hammock Pack is a subscription box for women that takes you on a mini vacation each month! Every box is centered around a themed getaway (past themes have included a trip to the lake house, a girl's night out, and more). This month's theme is Hot Air Balloon Ride.

Each box comes with a card detailing every item selected, and tying it into the vacation theme for that month!

Deep Steep Lavender Chamomile Hand Cream - Value  $9.95

I've sampled two other Deep Steep products from other subscription boxes, and I love this brand. Their products are free from harmful ingredients like parabens, and this hand cream is also gluten free! I love their lavender scent, so this was a perfect item to find in my August Hammock Pack!

Olomomo Chai Bliss Almonds - Value $2.50

Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookie with Dark Chocolate and Flax - Value $3

I've sampled these Chai Biss Almonds twice before in subscription boxes - and they are probably my favorite snack ever.  I was thrilled to see these in the August box!

Twistband Hair Ties 3-Pack - Value $5

Jane Tran Bobby Pins - Value $12

I can never have enough hair ties, so these will definitely go to use - and I love the colors! I'm not much of a bobby pin wearer though, so I'll be passing these along to a friend.

Verdict: I paid $30 for this box and received about $33 worth of product - I'll use just about everything in this box, so I'm happy with the value. I also really enjoy the curation of this box - every month feels like I'm unwrapping a thoughtful gift! Do you subscribe to Hammock Pack? What did you think of the August box?

This month’s box seemed to be way less than the $30 paid for it.

Tired of hair ties and cute bobby pins in boxes. Too many boxes have them.

How’d you come up with a value on the almonds? On their website, they’re on sale for $9.50 but that’s for four small packages.

Oh – that’s totally my fault – I didn’t realize it was 4 for $10! I’ll update the post and now that I know the almonds are cheaper I think I’ll buy some! 🙂

Yeah, I’m actually going to buy some of those almonds also. 🙂

I feel the same. I love Hammock Pack, but this month was lacking something

This was a so, so box for me. It felt as if something was missing in the box.
