Julep Maven July 2013 Subscription Options – It’s Selection Time!
The Julep Maven July selection window is now open! This month they are featuring the California Coast Collection – another set where I can't resist upgrading to the entire collection!
In addition to the nail polish available this month, Julep is launching two new beauty products: the Sea Salt Texture Spray, and the Beach Tonic Dry Body Oil. I cannot resist beachy products and love that these are paraben free!
Every month you can also add on additional products to your subscription at a deep-discount. This month they are including this 4th of July inspired sparkle polish as an add-on option.
And one lucky Mystery Maven will win this bonus gift set from Gorjana Griffin!
Are you excited for the California Coast Collection? Which Julep Maven box are you signing up for this month? Any upgrades or Add-ons? (If you haven't signed up yet for Julep, use coupon code FREEBOX to get your first box free!)

I went with Boho Glam (from my default Modern Beauty) since I was curious about the body oil and don’t have colors like Faye or Karen. Sea salt sprays don’t work on my thick straight hair anyway. I also added on Tracy and Adele. I plan on skipping any mystery box offerings in July since the last two months weren’t all that great. But the keyword there is “plan”..because it is always possible they will put out something hard to resist!

I chose my It Girl box with a Blakely add on. I receive lots of beauty products to review on my blog, so I am all set for hair care and body care. But, I can’t resist my monthly nail polish fix from Julep!
Thanks for the awesome blog! I read it every day!

This month I got the June box, placed *three* secret store orders (indecisive much?), took the BOGO offer they had on Facebook, bought three previous-month boxes from the Maven Exclusives store, got a very unexciting Laguna Beach mystery box, and spent $40+ at the online warehouse sale. It has been a mix of thrills and mehs, and I’ve spent a LOT of money on nail polish! I think I need to skip this month and take a cool-down period!
I like – don’t love – the products and colors this month but am not sure I’d get use out of the salt spray or body tonic. I spend a lot of time trying to de-frizz my big hair, so the salt spray may be counterproductive? Anyone use it with thick, coarse, frizz-prone hair?

Mine is thick, coarse, dry and prone to frizz. Its also straight. I find sea salt sprays just make it drier and the end result never looks pretty. Oribe’s Beach Wave and Shinee spray is great though, gives a great piecy look and makes it soft and shiny. Just don’t use too much or it will turn greasy.

How did you get the BOGO code?

It was a 24-hour deal – if you bought one of three polishes, you could get any other polish for free. As it happened, I had been wanting one of the colors (Petra). They post lots of little deals and coupon codes to Facebook.
I can tell you from experience, if you have curly, dry hair do not use salt sprays! Very, very bad!

I went with the Modern Beauty this time because I want to try both products. For add on I went with Angela because that crazy color looks so cool!

I also bought some super cheap goodies from the warehouse sale and was planning on skipping this month… Until I saw the body oil! Gotta try it! Kept boho glam and also added on Fireworks! Yolo, right?? Hahaha

I just picked up 18 polishes, 7 products, and a set of bangles during the online warehouse sale (about $350 worth of stuff for $70). And now Julep had to go and make all the colors for July ones that I really like. I think I’ll be upgrading this month. And then perhaps taking a few months off to let my wallet recover >.>

I look at your site every morning as part of my regular routine – love your posts. I’m addicted to My Subscription Addiction! 🙂
I’m really excited about both products in the Modern Beauty box (my regular box)! I’ve been wanting some B&B Surf Spray but haven’t gotten it yet so hopefully the Sea Salt Texture Spray will fill that void. I also had to add on my namesake polish, Cassie [I probably would have any just because, but the sheer coral color is perfect for summer!] and Tracy, an ocean blue sea salt polish. Can’t wait for the July box to ship! 😀

Super excited about the Sea Salt Spray and oil.. Colors are also spot on for the summertime. Upgraded from It Girl, and added Fireworks.

I am most intrigued by the Sea Salt Spray so I think I am going to go with Modern Beauty – and probably add the 4th of July polish 🙂
