The Products: Healthy food products and tips from Heather Bauer

bestowed box review

Each box includes info from Heather on why she chose each food item, tips for using it, and where to buy it. This is one of the best info sheets I've seen it subscription boxes - it's really helpful!

Good Health Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels - Value $3

Fiber Rich Crackers - Value $2

I was surprised to see peanut butter filled pretzels in a healthy food box, but I read Heather's note about these, and apparently they are the healthiest peanut butter filled pretzels out there!  (No cholesterol, 5 grams of protein and 3 grams of wheat per serving). I dont eat wheat, but my boyfriend said these were amazing

La Tortilla Low Card High Fiber Tortillas -  Value $4

I was also surprised to see tortillas in this box! Heather's note explained that these are the lowest calorie tortillas out there (50 calories a tortilla).

bestowed box review

Nektar Honey Crystals - 2 packets

Good Food Made Simple Coupon - Value varies

This is the best food coupon I've ever received in a subscription box - it works on any product and has no expiration date!

bestowed box

Hi-Fiber Minis in Chocolate Brownie and Cinnamon Raisin - Value $3

Verdict: I really like when you can tell that a lot of though has gone into putting a subscription box together, and Bestowed is definitely curated well. If it was only me, I probably wouldn't subscribe (only because I don't eat gluten or dairy so I probably won't be able to eat most of the items). But my boyfriend definitely likes the snacks! I recommend this box if you are looking to discover healthy new foods and don't have any diet restrictions.

Do you subscribe to Bestowed? What do you think?

I just received the April box today. Contents:

Ips Egg White Chips (1oz)
Bobbysue’s nuts! (1oz)
Flapjacked Protein Pancake Mix (4oz)
Cocomama Quinoa Cereal-Banana Cinnamon (5oz)
Balance Bar-Dark Chocolate (1.58 oz)
Zeel – $25 credit for an in-home massage

Nicely curated box but not worth $19.99. Luckily I used the $5 off coupon. It’s nice to discover new brands, but these are ALL 1 serving. Correction, the pancake mix makes 2 servings. I highly doubt any of these products would retail for more than $3 for a 1 oz package.

And the Zeel credit is a joke because in-home massages run over $100/hr.

90% sure I’m going to cancel my subscription if I can find a better food box.
