Julep Maven February 2013 Review – Monthly Nail Polish Subscription Boxes

Hi I was just wondering from your pictures it looks like each of the polishes is wrapped in plastic to seal them as new, is this normally the case? Thanks!

Out of all of the subscription boxes I get, I am most excited to see a Julep box in my mailbox. I just received my two mystery boxes today, and I LOVE what was in them. I am seriously addicted to their amazing colors. Random people have been asking about the colors I wear and usually say they’ve never seen such a cool color. I heard about Julep on your blog – thanks so much!

I Loved, Loved, Loved my Julep box this month, well I have every month! I have never skipped a box. I have been a long time subscriber and I don’t know how they are able to keep every box fresh and fun, but they do! I am a total Julep Junkie. I would be embarrassed to tell anyone what I have spent at Julep just since Cyber Monday. Let’s just say I have about 15 boxes packed full of polish, nail products, accessories etc..from Julep that I haven’t even took out of the boxes or used yet….I may need to start a Julep rehab!! Julep is my crack! And I found them through your website in December. I don’t understand how you upgrade to get all of them for $30. I missed that somewhere. Is it where you can change your choice between It Girl Boho, etc? I’m still learning!

I finally caved and signed up! You really can’t beat 1 cent for two polishes! I didn’t like the results the style quiz gave me (tried a couple times) but finally figured out where to find all the boxes and settled with the Classic with a Twist Starter Box – a beautiful creme grey (grey is my neutral for nails), a glittery magenta (but not GLITTER) and the cuticle oil. I like how you can skip months as I really don’t need to be spending another $20 a month on nail polish – but when I see a gorgeous box I can splurge every couple months! That’s my plan, we will see how well I stick to it 🙂

i LOVE my box! but wait i only received ONE chocolate?! hahaha! i’m still getting used to the eyelash curler but it seems nice. i’m having a ton of fun with my polishes. and same problem as cait… i liked the oxygen but it was too hard to resist painting over, so i removed it and now have color with freedom on top! 🙂 still waiting for my secret store order!

Im a n00b to your blog. First got introduced when I heard/read there was a $50 Julep certificate via Bloomspot. I wasnt told directly tho. Someone mentioned if it will work in the secret store. I googled it and snatched that certificate up so quick! Lol! Anyways, love your blog and this post. I was thinking about getting that Julep/Jewely box but where was I goign to put it. I literally dont have any more space for polish haha.

I love the gel top coat, too! I’m glad I bought my box this month because of the extra goodies.

WOW! Awesome colors and a good deal for the money. I think I may have to start this subscription. I did their Feb. Mystery Box because of your reviews but I may have to try their monthly. The $.01 code sounds good too. Is it hard to cancel?

The Oxygen Nail Treatment is also amazing!! The only problem is, you’re not supposed to use it with other polish, so you have to resist the urge to put color on your nails.

I haven’t received mine yet, should be this week! I am addicted too, I keep doing add ons and secret store purchases. I AM too excited about getting mine! Are you going to post your mystery box soon?

I read your blog religiously. My wallet is a lot skinnier thanks to your great reviews. I got into Julep recently. I haven’t gotten my first box yet but I am worried I’ll have to upgrade like you did! I did order the mystery box. I guess I love a surprise. Anyway, thanks for your reviews!
