Vegamour vs. OUAI vs. Rogaine: Who’s the Fairest of Them All?

As we age, hair thinning and loss become pertinent problems. From heat styling damage to plain genetics, many things contribute to hair thinning–but which product combats it? I tested three popular hair loss products–Vegamour, OUAI, and Rogaine–to see which brand takes the crown.

For efficacy and simplicity: Vegamour

All three products are effective, but when using Vegamour, users report 76% less shedding and a 52% increase in hair density–wow! OUAI has a similar performance percentage, but with dietary supplements plus a hair serum routine, I found OUAI’s process to be less user-friendly. Similarly, Rogaine is applied twice per day. Vegamour's GRO Hair Serum is applied topically to the scalp once per day–easy!

If you're looking for a holistic routine: Vegamour & OUAI Tie

All three products require long-term use for the best results, but unlike Rogaine, which works best when used indefinitely, Vegamour and OUAI make it easy to incorporate hair growth actives into your routine. Vegamour’s range of shampoos and conditioners, serums, and more in the GRO and GRO+ lines make maintenance a breeze. So, if you want to maintain results with a routine rather than just a treatment serum, Vegamour and OUAI are better choices than Rogaine.

If you want natural, toxin-free products: Vegamour

Vegamour’s offerings are free from sulfates, parabens, keratine, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances, and it's the only vegan option of the bunch. OUAI products lack sulfates and parabens, but contain synthetic fragrances. Rogaine contains minoxidil, which has its own potentially concerning side effects such as irritation, scalp itching, or burning.

I love that Vegamour leaves out ingredients found in popular hair care such as minoxidil and keratin, instead using plant actives such as turmeric, red clover, and Karmatin™, which impact the environment positively.

If you want an easy subscription option: Vegamour

Another one of Vegamour’s advantages is its subscription model, which allows subscribers to choose their delivery frequency and pause, cancel, or update anytime. Neither OUAI nor Rogaine offer a subscription model, so you’ll have to be mindful about placing future orders.

Vegamour vs. OUAI vs. Rogaine Winner: Vegamour

Overall, I definitely think Vegamour is the best option to combat hair loss. It’s clinically proven to be efficacious, hormone-free, and plant-based–I’ve already started replacing my hair care routine with clean Vegamour’s GRO Collection!
