As we age, we're forced to square up against an unwelcome enemy: hair thinning and loss. Whether it be hormone fluctuations, heat styling damage, or just plain genetics, various brands have claimed to be the best at restoring those luscious locks.
I tested three popular hair loss products–Vegamour, OUAI, and Rogaine–to see which brand ultimately takes the crown...
For efficacy and simplicity: Vegamour wins!
All three products showcase increased hair density and less shedding, but Vegamour’s results stood out to me. Vegamour’s numbers are impressive–users report 76% less shedding and a 52% increase in hair density. OUAI brings a similar performance percentage to the table, but with a routine including dietary supplements plus a hair serum, I found OUAI’s two-step process to be less user-friendly.
Rogaine, OUAI, and Vegamour are all easy to use, but Vegamour excels. Vegamour's GRO Hair Serum is applied topically to the scalp once per day–easy! Similarly, Rogaine is applied twice per day, but that additional dosage is something extra I have to worry about throughout the day.

All three products require long-term use for the best results, but unlike Rogaine, which works best when used indefinitely, Vegamour and OUAI make it easy to incorporate hair growth actives into your entire routine. OUAI products lack sulfates and parabens, but contain keratin and synthetic fragrances. Rogaine contains minoxidil, which can bring its own slew of potentially concerning and otherwise uncomfortable risks such as irritation, scalp itching, or burning.
On the other hand, I breathed a sigh of relief when I read Vegamour’s vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free ingredients list.

Overall, I definitely think Vegamour is the best option for kickstarting your hair growth journey. It’s clinically proven to be efficacious, hormone-free, and plant-based, so you can feel good about a clean product while working towards regrowth.
