The Seasonal Subscription Box from Margot Elena is a quarterly subscription box featuring full-size beauty and lifestyle items. (If you aren't familiar with this brand, it's carried in stores like Anthropologie, as well as my city's local much-beloved dried flower shop.)
For $76.94 per quarter, you'll discover the world of All Things Beautiful—this box is filled with over $200 worth of full-sized products curated by the Margot Elena team.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
Opening The Box
I'm going on the record saying no subscription box brings it like the Winter Margot Elena boxes. I go into it thinking, "I had three boxes to enjoy all for myself this year, so I'm going to gift the entire winter box." Do I stick to that claim? Rarely. But with that thinking in mind, I love that there are some staples to spread around to folks who may not have anything from Margot Elena yet (like some of my kids' teachers), and some exclusives to give to the ladies in my life who understand how thrilling these offerings are (like my mum and certain friends).
Inside our folded info card, we have a list of everything that's inside, and you can see that there are four exclusives to the box. Exciting!
Here's What's Inside
TokyoMilk Dark Ice Queen Eau de Parfum, 1.6 fl oz — Retail Value $56
When I unwrap the eau de parfum of the quarter, hold it in my hands to take in the label, and pull the cap off to send an exploratory spritz into the air, I often find myself wide-eyed, wondering "who will I be this season?" Not every Margot Elena perfume is an instant love or a good fit for me long-term, but so much of the time of the one that is chosen feels impeccable for the moment, as is the case this time. Ice Queen offers a honeyed floral-citrus aroma, but the floral part lingers in a way that feels so warming, and with a "flowering tree" tone that somehow differs in spirit from classic garden florals. Out my window there is snow blanketing my yard and every upward surface of the tree branches, and the contrast between the wintry visuals and the petal-soft scent is giving me big time hygge feels.
New! Lollia Snowdrop Perfumed Shower Gel, 8 fl oz — Retail Value $24
Snowdrop! The name of this scent alone is so charming. The sun was dazzling through my window prism on the day these photos were taken, and I was hard-pressed to find a photo location that wasn't in full rainbow. This scent is described as "winterberry and cashmere"—and like all the best scent descriptions, I have no idea what that actually means, but it does somehow capture the experience of it! I'm sensing woody, musky tones, with a touch of powdery lightness. Margot Elena shower gels are always such a treat.
The Cottage Greenhouse Rosemary Mint Rescue Foot Cream, 6 oz — Retail Value $30
When you untwist the lid to this foot cream jar, the peppermint scent that floats out is all-encompassing. And yet its pairing with fresh, herbal lavender grounds it. This foot cream is whipped to voluminous glory, and its formula includes beeswax and jojoba to truly condition your feet's dry corners. It's rich, both soothing and cooling, and the perfect excuse to plop my feet in my husband's lap with a smile and a plea (he's always happy to oblige, bless him). Ohp, here I go, already claiming items from this box for myself!
Exclusive! M.E. Happy Home Luminous Taper Candles — Listed Value $18
Oh these tapers are gorgeous. For years I didn't think of myself as a fuchsia person, or even a pink person. I avoided wearing these colors in favor of more earthy tones, and while I'm still drawn to those types of hues, I've become more open to any and all colors working well together. It's more about the combinations than the stand-alone pigments. Anyway, these fragrance-free soy candles are strikingly bright and beautifully modern. I'm kind of...obsessed with them.

See, past self? How boring would this corner of my mantel be without this pop of color? I appreciate the touch that the candles are narrower at the bottom, making them fit snugly both in my thrifted candlestick and my little handmade-by-a-friend pot. Chef's kiss.
TokyoMilk Greeting Cards in Thank You, Go Buck Wild, and Feliz Navidad Greeting Cards — Retail Value $5.50 each
Our three cards of the month include a cute little plump Christmas tree, a wintry birthday card, and a simple thank you note. As usual, all three have subtle glittery touches.
Exxclusive! Archive Journey Within Hand Cream, 4 oz — Listed Value $24
Margot Elena has hooked us up with a fair amount of Journey Within over the years, so this is one item I'm good with gifting. We've been sent a full-size body lotion, which lasted quite a long time for our family, a shower gel, and a fragrance. I do like that this green tea and willow scent (and much of the Archive line in general) is more gender-neutral—so I may even pass it along to my brother.
I'm actually not certain what makes this one exclusive, as there is a 4 oz tube available on the ME site. Sometimes what makes box items exclusive are subtle details like packaging, so that might be the case here.
Exclusive! TokyoMilk Radiant Gem Petite Gift Set — Listed Value $23
I love this thoughtful little curation. This is the perfect type of thing to give as a teacher gift for the holidays. I know some say that scents are too personal to gift to someone you don't know well, but I beg to differ. This journey started by gifting Margot Elena bar soaps to my daughter's daycare staff, and they were over the moon—honestly, I was surprised by all the positive feedback I received. Then I branched out to tiny travel-size lotions for my older daughter's teachers/admin staff (along with gift cards) and the few who recognized Lollia were pumped. Upgrading to a petite fragrance wasn't necessarily what I was working toward, but now that it's here and so perfectly giftable, why not? It could also be a great hostess gift or feel really special to a teen.
See other Radiant Gem offerings here. These two sizes are both available for purchase, just not in the little gift pouch.
Exclusive! TokyoMilk Allumettes de Sureté (Safety Matches) — Listed Value $14
I love seeing what unique "home" items Margot Elena comes up with. Like the candles, there is no fragrance associated with these matches (that would be wild), but still the packaging is beautiful and they'd be just as lovely gifted as they would set out to use when company is over. Unfortunately the striker strip that was stuck on the side came off almost immediately. I superglued it back on. But if it came to it I could've just struck it against another matchbox—I'm fine getting creative to make beautiful things work!
Holiday Gift! Lollia Snowdrop Petite Treat Handcreme — Retail Value $9.50
A little bonus: a travel size handcreme in that same Snowdrop scent. I keep one in my car, and when the whole family is in there together, noses are delighted without fail. I may stash this one in my husband's car, or pass it to my mum for hers. Of course the car thing is just my personal suggestion. But I think you'll like it if you try it!
Value - Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $76.94 per quarter, which includes free shipping to the contiguous United States. Save by signing up for a prepaid annual subscription for $59.99.
Value Breakdown: Our Winter 2025 Margot Elena Box is contains 9 items, counting the 3 greeting cards as a set and the giftable cream-perfume combo as one, too. Using a combination of retail values and listed values, the total value in this box is $215. That's on the high side of average for this box, but honestly this quarter's curation feels so full and fresh that my perceived value is way higher.
Key Takeaways
