13 Best Monthly Juice and Smoothie Subscription Box Delivery Services in 2021

Christen Russo
ByChristen RussoJul 22, 2021 | 7 comments

Looking for a delicious way to improve your intake? A smoothie or juice subscription can help you add fruits and vegetables to your intake while avoiding added sugars and other unhealthy ingredients. Oh, and smoothies are delicious, too — you don’t really need to have a reason to order them.

Below, we have two sections, one for smoothies and one for juice, covering the best options backed by our reviews and research. Find out which one is right for you, and if we know of any coupons we'll provide them so you can get the best deals.

Our Picks for the Best Smoothie Subscription Box Delivery Services in 2021

We’ve ranked our favorite smoothie subscription boxes for this year. These deliveries will help you satisfy your smoothie fix (and since we’ve included several coupon codes and promo links, you’ll get a better deal on your first orders).

1. Daily Harvest - Best Smoothie Subscription for Meal Replacement

Daily Harvest

Image from our review.

Cost: Starts at $7.75/cup, with discounts for longer subscriptions. Sign up here!

Ships to: The US.

ACTIVE DEAL: Use code ADDICTION40 for up to $40 off your first box
CODE: ADDICTION40

About this Smoothie Subscription: All Daily Harvest soups and smoothies are unrefined, vegan, and made with mostly organic ingredients. They’re often packed with superfoods, and they’re effective as meal replacements.

Open a weekly or monthly subscription, and you’ll receive pre-portioned smoothies (and soups, harvest bowls, and other options) in a temperature-controlled package. The foods are ready to be reheated, and many of their dishes can be enjoyed cold. The smoothies are ready to blend — fill the cup to the top with any liquid, pour into your blender, then pour back into the cup. Fresh smoothies have never been this easy!

If you don’t mind blending your own smoothies, but you’d rather not go through the work of picking out ingredients, Daily Harvest is a solid choice for a smoothie delivery service (we’re covering several other blend-it-yourself options, and in our opinion, they’re the best way to get a fresh, nutritious drink, though powdered mixes have come a long way). We love the quality of the ingredients and the variety of the recipes; popular options include strawberry & peach, chocolate & blueberry, carrot & cinnamon, and mango & greens.

A quick note: While the product selection only lists two featured ingredients, these cups aren’t simple — the mango & green smoothie, for instance, has 7 ingredients in total. In other words, Daily Harvest takes time to create balanced recipes that you couldn’t easily recreate with a quick shopping trip.

Check out our Daily Harvest reviews and details page for more information on subscribing.

2. SmoothieBox - Best Smoothie Subscription for Nutrition Tracking

Image of Clementine Smoothie from our review!

Cost: $119.00 for 20 16 oz. smoothies. Sign up here!

Ships to: The US for free.

About the Smoothie Subscription: SmoothieBox is exactly what it sounds like — an assortment of healthy, plant-based smoothie ingredients. Everything is prepped, frozen, and ready-to-blend.
You can choose to receive a box every 30 or 60 days. The company offers 4 smoothie flavors (Green, Cacao, Clementine, and Berry) and lets you choose how many 5-packs of each flavor you’d like per box. However, their site has hundreds of recipes — the flavor mix is only part of the draw. The smoothies are macro balanced, and you can easily adjust them to meet your health or weight management goals.

Subscriptions can be delayed or cancelled at any time without penalty. The company also offers one-time orders, though those are more expensive than the subscriptions; all orders arrive in temperature-controlled, recyclable packaging. The company also includes detailed macro breakdowns for its products, which can be helpful if you’re trying to meet specific health goals.

With organic ingredients, no added sugars, and nothing artificial, SmoothieBox delivers no-nonsense drinks that taste delicious. They recommend blending their products with yogurt, almond milk, or water. The company also includes optional plant-based collagen powders, intended to promote healthier joints, hair, and skin. Our reviewer Anna raved about SmoothieBox’s quality in their review.

Check out our Smoothie Box reviews and details page for more information on subscribing.

3. Revive Superfoods - Best Smoothie Subscription with Other Food Options

Image of Rise & Chai Smoothie Ingredients via Revive Superfoods.

Cost: Starting at $5.49 per cup (12 cups a month = $65.88 a box with free shipping). Sign up here!

Ships to: The US for free.

About the Smoothie Subscription: Revive Superfoods is a smoothie subscription service with a few extras; you’ll also find oats, “supermeals,” falafel pops, and soups in their store. If you want smoothies, but you also want the occasional hearty oat bowl, you’ll find a satisfying selection of high-quality products.

All smoothies and oat bowls are single-portion, and you can customize which flavors you want in every shipment. They also have keto-friendly options, which are clearly marked on the store.

Revive focuses on simple meal planning. After subscribing, you’ll have access to a calendar; you can manually skip or add any delivery date as long as it is 7 days before a box is scheduled to ship. You can change your smoothie selections, skip a shipment, or make adjustments to your plan up until this deadline, at which point you’ll be charged for your order for the week.

As with the other services we’ve covered to this point, the smoothies are pre-portioned and ready to blend. Revive Superfoods focuses on — you guessed it — superfoods , so expect lots of greens, acai berries, and other healthy ingredients. Their foods are free from preservatives, and the site provides clear descriptions of the recipes; if you’re eating gluten free or trying to include your fiber intake, you’ll be able to easily find smoothies that match your preferences.

Popular smoothies include the Morning Mocha (with banana, avocado, cacao, cauliflower, and coffee), the Strawberry Zen (banana, raspberries, peaches, zucchini, chia & flax seeds, and strawberries), and the Pink Dragon (banana, kiwi, acai, lychee, dragon fruit, hemp protein, and more).

The price per cup is affordable, even if you just order the smoothies. With that said, Revive Superfoods regularly makes our lists of top meal delivery services, so don’t miss the soups and oat bowls — this service can be an excellent resource for building a balanced (and satisfying) diet.

Check out our Revive Superfoods reviews and details page for more information on subscribing.

4. Splendid Spoon - Best Smoothie Subscription with No Prep

all items in the splendid spoon february 2018 order

Image from our review.

Cost: Plans start at $65.00 for 5 smoothies. Save with longer subscriptions. Sign up here!

Ships to: The US.

About the Smoothie Subscription: Like Revive Superfoods, Splendid Spoon is a meal delivery service specializing in nutrient-rich smoothies and soups. All of their dishes are plant-based, vegan, gluten-free, and made with GMO-free ingredients. Their soups are made to be enjoyed cold (that’s also true for the smoothies, of course).

Unlike the other smoothie subscription services we’ve covered to this point, Splendid Spoon’s smoothies require no prep work whatsoever (other than a bit of shaking before you open the bottle). They’re ready to drink right away, so they’re a great option if you’re tired of cleaning out your blender.

This service is more of a traditional meal kit; Splendid Spoon will automatically curate a box of soups and smoothies for you, but you can edit the selection as needed. Popular smoothie options include banana flax, orange hibiscus, and strawberry goji.

Splendid Spoon is relatively expensive, but you can bring the price down by signing up for larger orders. It’s still cheaper — and healthier — than regular trips to your favorite coffee shop, and the prep-free model can help you maintain a better diet.

Check out our latest Splendid Spoon reviews and details page review for more information on subscribing.

5. Bright Greens Smoothie ShakeUps - Best Smoothie Subscription with a Unique Approach

Cost: Plans start at $42.99 for 6 smoothies per month. Save with longer subscriptions. Sign up here!

Ships to: The US.

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 60% on your first order!
CODE: MSA60

About the Smoothie Subscription: We’ve covered several smoothie subscriptions that deliver pre-prepped ingredients, and we’ve covered one option with prep-free smoothies. Bright Greens is somewhere in between.

This service delivers “smoothie cubes,” which are exactly what they sound like: flash-frozen cubes of plant-based goodness. Add your liquid of choice, mix with a spoon, and you’re ready to enjoy a healthy smoothie — no blender required.

The unique production process locks in nutrients, and Bright Greens doesn’t add sugars or preservatives to their smoothie cubes. Popular options include Bright Blueberry, Mintergreen, Peaches & Green, and Pineapolis.

You’ll save significantly by ordering larger amounts; order 24 smoothies per month, and you’ll pay $4.99 per drink. We’d start with a smaller order to make sure that you’re on board with the smoothie-cube revolution, but Bright Greens packs a surprising amount of nutritious flavor into their product.

Check out our latest Bright Green reviews and details page review for more information on subscribing.

6. kencko - Best Smoothie Subscription for Powdered Smoothies

Cost: Plans start at $59.00, but pricing varies by amount ordered. Save with longer or larger subscriptions. Sign up here!

Ships to: The United States.

About the Smoothie Subscription: Billed as “real nourishment for busy people,” kencko delivers ready-to-mix smoothie powders with no preservatives or added sugars. They flash-freeze their produce, creating a shelf-stable powder. Mix the powder with your liquid of choice, and you’ve got a blender-free smoothie.

kencko has an expansive range of smoothie powders, and their site lists potential health benefits for each option. Their “Jades" powder, for instance, is intended to improve mental focus; it’s packed with lime, matcha, apple, zucchini, chia seeds, kombucha, and other superfoods. All powders are vegan friendly, gluten & allergen free, and include at least two portions of fruit and/or vegetables.

With prices as low as $2.49 per smoothie, kencko is fairly inexpensive. Shipping is free, and kencko commits to carbon-neutral deliveries (the packaging is compostable, too).

Check out our kencko reviews and details page for more information on subscribing.

7. Raw Generation - Best Smoothie Subscription That Also Has Juice Options

Image of Daily Greens Variety Flavor Pack via Raw Generation.

Cost: $109.99 for an 18-pack of smoothies, but pricing varies by product. Subscribers save 10%. Sign up here!

Ships to: The continental US.

About the Smoothie Subscription: Subscribers receive a pack of 6 raw, cold-pressed juices or 6 smoothies, shipped frozen for easy storage. Raw Generation juices are not blended, and they aren’t certified organic, but they do come from a chemical-free facility.

Choose from juice packs intended for a weight-loss cleanse, a strength-building cleanse (these include extra protein), or for daily drinking. Rotating seasonal flavor combination packs such as Fall Flavors — think pumpkin spice themes — and Holiday (Peppermint Mocha) are also available.

Raw Generation focuses more on juices than smoothies, but their vanilla cashew smoothie and plant-based keto shakes earn them a spot on our list. All Raw Generation products are ready to drink (no mixing required).

8. Blendtopia - Best Smoothie Subscription for Blendable Powders

Cost: Boxes start at $84 with free shipping for subscribers. Sign up here!

Ships to: The continental US.

About the Smoothie Subscription: Blendtopia sends ready-to-blend superfood smoothie kits. Their smoothies are powdered, but the company recommends a blender for mixing.

The smoothies are vegan, 100% organic, and free from dairy, gluten, and soy. Popular flavors include Energy (which includes pineapples, coconut milk powder, bananas, and cacao), Glow (mangos, goji berries, spinach, hemp seeds, bananas, pineapples, and seeds), and Strength (bananas, avocados, spinach, pineapples, and more).

Blendtopia can be expensive for individual orders — order a box of 24, and you’ll pay around $5.99 per smoothie. The subscription boxes allow you to try the full range of products while cutting costs a bit.

Factors We Considered When Reviewing These Juice and Smoothie Subscriptions

If you’ve read through our full list, you’ve noticed that we included a variety of smoothie delivery services. That includes options with ready-to-drink smoothies, blend-it-yourself drinks, and even a few meal replacement services that offer smoothies as part of their product selection.

To compare these services — and to provide all the information that you need to make a knowledgeable decision — we looked at how each service worked, drawing on customer reviews and our editorial staff’s experiences. Some of the factors we considered:

  • Simple Subscription Management - Lifestyles change, and you should never feel like your subscription is an obligation. We chose services that allow for easy subscription management — members can pause or cancel deliveries at any time. Some of these services also offer discounts for long-term orders, but in general, we’d recommend starting with a monthly (or weekly, or bi-weekly) order, then upgrading if you find a smoothie service that you can’t live without.
  • Pricing and Overall Value - For pricing, we considered both the cost of regular delivery and the cost per smoothie. Of course, packing dozens of high-quality superfoods into a tiny glass can be expensive, but we chose services that offered a per-smoothie price that was equivalent (or cheaper) than what you’d pay at your local juicery. We’ve included pricing information that was accurate when this article was written, and we’ll try to keep it updated — even so, you’ll want to visit each company’s website for the most up-to-date info.
  • Quality of Ingredients - These services post clear, consistent information about where their ingredients come from. We prioritized services that use organic fruits and vegetables, and we read ingredient lists to make sure additive claims (for instance, “no preservatives" or “no added sugars") were accurate. Many of these companies also offer non-GMO, gluten-free, and allergen-free options, so if you have a restricted diet, you should still be able to find a service that works for you.
  • Sustainability Features - Our readers care about the environment, and we share that sentiment. Wherever possible, we highlight brands that go above and beyond to develop an eco-friendly approach. Several of the services on this list offer carbon-neutral deliveries, which they accomplish by purchasing carbon offsets. We also looked for services with recyclable or compostable packaging.
  • Customer Service - If you have an issue with your delivery, you’ll want a quick response. We looked for smoothie delivery services with strong reputations. These companies offer satisfaction or delivery guarantees, so we think you can safely order with confidence (although you should always read the terms and conditions before signing up for any new subscription).

We hope we’ve helped you find your next smoothie obsession. If you’ve tried any of these services — or if we’ve missed a smoothie delivery subscription that you think would improve this list — leave us a comment below. Your feedback helps us give our readers a smooth(ie) experience.

FYI: Raw Generation are offering vegetable and fruit boxes. The price is $79.99 + Free shipping. The boxes are 25 lb each. I just ordered the vegetable box, it will be a lifesaver for me as I cannot get to the grocery store and online store deliveries are impossible to get.

Would be good if you mentioned that Pressed Juicery has a $40 minimum to even ship to you.

Christen Russo

Hey Shawna, thanks for catching that! I do like to indicate when there are minimums for shipment, but I don’t see that info in Pressed Juicery’s FAQ. Is that where you found it, or did you learn by adding products to your cart and going through the checkout process?

Mary

If you put one item in your cart and go to the checkout, it gives you this message:

“A subtotal of $40 or more (after discounts) is required to qualify for nationwide shipping.”
