I Found a Meal Prep Service That’s Just as Good as (or better than) Working with a Dietician

One of the keys to living well is eating well. What we put in our bodies is just as important, if not more, than what we put on them.

I’m a fan of eating intentionally and making sure that my meals align with what my body needs, which I’m pretty good at, but sometimes, I wonder if it would be worthwhile to work with a professional to set myself up for success. Recently, a friend clued me into a meal prep service that is just as good—if not better—than working with a personal dietician.

It’s called Trifecta, and let me show you what makes it so effective:

I’ve got a lot more time back in my day

Working with a dietician, you’ll get tons of guidance, but you’ve got to follow through on your own. That means taking time to plan out your meals, buy the groceries, cook the food and clean the kitchen which, for me, is the most tedious part.

Trifecta, on the other hand, takes care of all the planning, shopping, and cooking! The only cleaning I have to do is breaking down and recycling the box that my meals get delivered in each week. 🎉

Most meal prep services are pretty generic, but Trifecta gives me all the personalization of working with a dietitian minus the work of cooking and prepping. It’s a mega win in my book!

It’s a comprehensive approach to nutrition

Trifecta gets its name from the fact that it’s more than just a meal prep service. Yes, you get your ready-to-eat meals delivered weekly, but you also get a plan that’s customized to your personal needs and goals, and you get the support of a community.

When you work with a dietician, you have their support, but it’s easy to feel a level of disconnect since they are the professionals and you are simply following their guidance. In the Trifecta community, everyone is on a journey towards health and wellness together

I’m saving a lot of money

Let’s be real, healthy eating can be expensive. You’re going to pay more for those organic veggies than you would for the non-organic kind. Add in the cost of working with a dietitian, which can be hundreds of dollars, and you could be spending as much as your car payment on your meals alone.

With Trifecta, you don’t have to worry about buying any ingredients you won’t use, or even anything going bad. The meals are vacuum sealed and last for 7 days in the refrigerator, and up to 3 months in the freezer.

You pay a flat rate for whichever meal plan you choose and you can pause your deliveries whenever you need to, or cancel if it’s not working for you anymore. The meal deliveries start at around $100 for 7 entrees that are chef-selected.

It’s super easy to track my progress whenever I want

The benefit of working with a professional dietitian is that, ideally, they’ll keep track of your progress for you. That will take the guesswork and legwork out of the process for you, but you have to wait until you meet with them, and you have to trust that they’re accurately keeping track of everything.

Trifecta has an app where you can keep track of your meals and see charts that show you your progress. Plus, you can open it each day and learn a little bit about the science behind weight management, which the nerd in me absolutely loves.

Trifecta is changing the way I approach day-to-day nutrition

Professionals have their place, but I’m loving Trifecta. It’s so much more than just a meal prep service. I get meals that are tailored to my needs and delivered ready to eat, an app to track everything, and tons of extra time—all for a fraction of the cost compared to working with a dietician.

If you’re deciding between a dietician and a meal prep service, take a look at Trifecta.
