So, I'm not a normal mom—I'm a pet mom—and I never realized how unavailable I was to Mr. Hoppy Golightly until the pandemic struck. Now, laugh if you will, but compared to my exes, my fur baby is the perfect boyfriend. Sometimes I Eat Like a Rabbit
I'll never forget the time I went to Harris Teeter and some woman—after viewing my cart—said, "wow, you eat like a rabbit!" I laughed and told her I actually have a rabbit and that's why my cart is full of greens and carrots.

The Meals

Since Mr. HGL loves romaine lettuce, and I love ethnic food, I ordered the Shawarma Chickpea Lettuce Wraps. The leaves are filled with a crunch salad, yogurt sauce and shawarma-spiced chickpeas mixed with bulgur.
If you haven't tried Mike's Hot Honey, I suggest you hit up Amazon right now and order a bottle because it's amazing! Well, Mr. HGL can't have hot honey (but he accidentally ate ghost pepper chips and absolutely loved them), rice or chicken, but I did give him a few pieces of baby carrots. To create the sauce, hot honey is swirled with peach jam, butter and lemon juice, and the carrots and zucchini are tossed with lemon zest and chili flakes.
Since I love my chicken and Brussels, I chose the Brown Sugar Bourbon Organic Chicken. The savory chicken is coated in brown sugar bourbon seasoning, and then cooked and topped with buttery apple pan sauce. It also comes with crispy roasted Brussels sprouts (which Mr. HGL loves), scallion mashed potatoes and little apple chunks.
Remember, if you follow strict diets like Paleo or Keto, you're vegan, gluten-free or allergen-free, HelloFresh does offer some options, but if you're all or nothing with these diets, you may have better luck with a meal delivery service that caters to these dietary needs.
