I have a confession to make - I was an absolute Nancy Drew fanatic growing up. I played every single computer game I could get my hands on and read as many books as possible to further my sleuthing skills. Nancy Drew made up a huge part of my life as a little girl, and I can thank the series for the love I have today and for a good mystery.

As an adult, I decided to branch out and try new games and series, partially for entertainment but mostly to satisfy my inner detective desires. I realized that mystery subscription boxes were an amazing way to do this, and I scoured the internet for the best ones available today.

Here, I'll review the 8 best mystery subscription boxes of 2024. This list includes escape room games, crime scene adventures, and some of the best new books out today. Even if you're not a die-hard Nancy Drew fan like me, I guarantee you're bound to enjoy solving the mysteries below.

I'm a SAHM of 2 under 2 who's on a mission to discover the best subscription boxes for women and children. On the off chance I'm not chasing after my kids (or breaking up a looming brawl between them and the cats), you can most likely find me training in the pool, sipping on an Americano at my local coffee shop, or hiding in our spare room to catch up on my favorite podcasts.

AH

This almost felt like a bait and switch to me just because I totally thought that a “mystery” box was the kind that you didn’t know the contents of – not mystery novels and who done it puzzles like Hunt A Killer. I know it’s not really a bait and switch, but I must say a list of the best true mystery boxes like I am talking about would be good.

It’s a mystery in a box. So a mystery box. Not a mystery of what’s in the box. Sounds like an accurate name to me.

Probably because you aren’t familiar with the “mystery boxes” that some subscriptions offer (or at least they used to). A box released with no spoilers is a mystery box.

Melissa

Agreed. They should have changed the title to “mystery novel subscription” or something like that.
