DC Comics World’s Finest: The Collection “Batman Villains” Review

This month felt like the items were to help subscribers represent their affinity for the villains. The tapestry, the sticker, the pin and sign are all things you would display for others to see to let them know where your allegiance lies. I love the imagery in this box, although I could say that about every one. I enjoy the tapestry most of all. I love the image of the grumpy Batman surround by smiling villains. I also really dig the Joker pin and Bane shirt. I appreciate the idea of the planter, but wish it were bigger. The sticker, sign, and vial did not move the meter for me, but were still good additions the box. The vinyl figure is sweet and a great addition to my growing collection. I thought this was a great theme with great items, since a lot of fans identify or sympathize with the antagonists.

DC Comics World’s Finest: The Collection Summer 2021 Review – Justice League Summer

If you’ve read my reviews, you know I put a lot of value on useful things. I really liked how DC Comics picked a solid theme and gave subscribers seven functional items and a cool figure to add to the collection. I really, really like the shakers, but wish they were a little different. So I’m going to go with the apron as my favorite piece. It’s a functional item that shows off your nerdy side. I love it. I actually dug the napkin holder. Never something I thought I would say. The printing on the bag bummed me out. It’s still usable, but if I’m receiving something new in a box, I expect it to be perfect. I can take or leave the straw, but do have to admit it was a cool way to brand something. The shirt and glass were good but not overly amazing. Again, it was a good way to integrate DC Comics into everyday items that will allow you to show your fandom and personality. Overall, I really enjoyed this quarter’s box. However, I received it in mid-September. I don’t know if I was a special case or they are just really behind, but I’m about to close my pool and put up the Halloween decorations. I wish this would have arrived two or three months ago.

DC Comics World’s Finest: The Collection Review Spring 2021 – Flashpoint

When I initially heard this quarter’s them was “Flashpoint,” I was expecting every item to be Flash-themed. After watching Zach Snyder’s Justice League, I was so ready for all things Flash. Little did I know I was in for such an education in DC Comics. I thought this box did a great job in including all the usuals, even though the story revolves around The Flash. I’m having a hard time deciding between the shirt and desk light. So I’m not going to decide. I like both those items the most. I also really like the figure, but all other things being equal, I’ll always choose the item that is functional. The socks and hat were cool, but not for me personally. So I will pass those a long to someone who will appreciate them. The pin and mug were just OK, but again, at least the mug has a function. Lastly, the coin is pretty cool. I might keep it in the kitchen in case my wife and I need to coin flip for who gets to pick dinner. Overall, I’d have to say this is my least favorite of the three boxes I’ve reviewed, but I’m still very impressed by the depth of DC Comics’s vault and how they incorporate it into collectable items.
