"They are months behind in shipments"
Dec 6, 2022
They are almost always 3 months behind on their shipments. I have 3 months worth of charges on my card but still haven’t gotten a box since September. That’s September-December (4 boxes) that are late have not arrived but still charged to my card regardless. This is how it’s been since I signed up earlier in the year. And this goes for the entire subscriber base, no one gets their boxes even remotely on time. The quality of the books and items in the box are wonderful, I can’t deny that, but I’ve got to be honest that it doesn’t make up for how late everything gets shipped and the fact that they continue to charge regardless of how behind they are.

"Always delayed, not worth the price"

They are constantly behind. I was charged for three months before I received my first box. If I had received the box on time I would have cancelled before being charged for the second two boxes. The books are nice, but the rest of the items are useless, cheap, and absolutely not worth the price.

"Not happy "
Sep 20, 2021
Only leaving a 2 star review due to the great book. The items included were cheap, one was broken and a small pleather bag received was stitched poorly. And the tshirt was missing. For this being my first box and I waited for for 3 months, I’m very disappointed.

"More like Rubbish Box."

The only worthwhile items in the box that I waited 5 months to get (a subscription of 3 months worth that I started in September and only just now got my first box. Ridiculous) is the book and the shirt. Everything else as cheaply made and off the mark. The fact that they keep opening spots for subscriptions when they are 5 months behind on those they’ve already took money from screams sketchy pyramid scheme at worst and extremely unprofessional and poorly ran at best. Owlcrate is always on time, had way better items, and less expensive. Don’t waste your money unless you love to be lied to about shipment dates and disappointed when you finally receive your box.

Books take months to arrive. Customer service is terrible.

"Buyer Beware. "

I subbed to this box in July. It’s currently the end of October and I have received zero boxes. I highly recommend people not shop here or subscribe to them. I now believe this company is a scam to steal money from book lovers.

"Get rid of the forced donations"
Apr 19, 2022
They have a "you shop, we give" thing on purchases that is not an option, thus forcing their customers to donate to even buy a book. I find this very offensive and controlling. Just let people buy a book without being forced to donate to causes they have NO say in. Oh one of them is Planned Parenthood which is absurd; like a business that makes millions off of women and abortions NEEDS our money lol. How about donating to the homeless or starving children? Disaster victims? To families who are struggling to put food on the table? How about struggling college students who have to live in their cars? Domestic abuse victims? I'd rather have the freedom to choose my charities, be it for people or animals. Nope, they want to force you to donate to the fluff that lives inside their heads. I rather give my money to someone who actually needs it, not be forced by their liberal ideology. This company is offensive. There are better places to get book crates from.
