If you like keeping your cabinet stocked full of snacks, but you value treats that are organic, all-natural, free from additives, and just a little bit better for you than the average grocery store offering, I think Love With Food has a lot to offer. When you sign up for a subscription, you can expect to receive a wide variety of goodies every month, and it’s always fun seeing what will pop up in the box. Personally, I love that shipments include all different types of snacks (candy, cookies, crackers, chips, granola, etc.), and I enjoy when I get to try a new treat before it hits the market. In this box, the Crunchions, Juicefuls, and Nora Seaweed Snacks were my top picks, but I enjoyed the majority of what I receivd. Value-wise, the cost of this box breaks down to about $1.25 per item. Given the variety of snacks and the element of surprise and discovery this subscription brings, I think that’s a great deal!
There were 16 items in the March 2021 Love With Food Deluxe Box for an average value of about $1.25 per item. This was a decent Love with Food box. There weren’t nearly as many repeats as usual and, even though there were some supermarket brands (e.g., Bush’s, Welch’s, Goya, Sun-Maid) those products were new to me. Actually, there were a lot of products that were new to me overall. I don’t even mind a handful of repeats when I make a lot of new discoveries. The highlights were the Bush’s chips and the crunchions, I guess I was in a savory snack mood the week I opened this box.
Right now I feel like Love with Food is going through some things and I do hope they come out OK. I just don’t know what to think, now that their snack shop has completely disappeared. Although I will say that after one fairly late box they are working their way back towards a more normal shipping schedule, and not every subscription company has been able to do the same. I was a little disappointed in all the repeats this month although I am somewhat more tolerant when it’s been 6+ months since the last time we received an item (there were a handful of those). Interestingly, some of the repeat items tasted better this time (I’m thinking the Love Corn and the Perfect Granola bar), and I’m not sure why, maybe they were fresher or a new batch came in. I did enjoy the new items (macaroon, tea). In the end, this box was a little bit of a mixed bag for me but I did discover a few things worth purchasing again.
