Silk + Sonder November 2026
November is already here, and I am in absolute shock that we are already three months into the school year! Our schedule is slowing down a bit, and I am thankful for a little break before basketball season starts. Even though our days aren't quite as packed, I still rely on this planner to keep me organized. Without it, I'd be completely lost!
With my chaotic schedule, I need my Silk + Sonder planner to help keep track of all the day-to-day details. It has become an essential part of my routine and helps me manage everything I need to get done. I seriously use it every single day, and without it, my anxiety would probably be through the roof!
Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it also gives me a chance to pause, reflect, and reset. It helps me stay organized, grounded, and feel just a little more in control of everything life throws my way. Honestly, I can't imagine managing it all without it!
Belonging - The deep human need to feel seen, valued, and connected - to self, to others, and to something greater.
I love that Silk + Sonder chooses a unique theme each month, and I truly appreciate how thoughtfully Meha Agrawal, the creator, brings each theme to life. November’s theme is Belonging, and as soon as I read it, I knew it was exactly what I needed this month.
To me, belonging is about feeling seen, valued, and accepted for who you truly are. It’s about being comfortable enough to show up as your authentic self, knowing you don’t have to change or compare yourself to others to feel worthy. I also think belonging takes courage—the courage to be yourself, to make meaningful connections, and to embrace where you are in life.
This month, I’m making a conscious effort to be more present, appreciate the little moments, and remind myself that my life doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful. I want to focus less on comparison and more on connection, gratitude, and finding joy in the season of life I’m in. And, of course, making a little extra room for rest along the way.
One of my favorite things about Silk + Sonder is receiving a fresh planner each month. That little reset feels so refreshing—year-long planners always end up feeling overwhelming to me. This planner does include a year-at-a-glance page, but the boxes are quite small, so I mainly use it as a quick reference when looking ahead at future dates.
At the beginning of each month, I fill in the calendar with upcoming events, and before I know it, the days start flying by. Because basketball hasn't started yet, our calendar looks pretty quiet right now. Trust me, that is definitely not the case! As soon as I get the practice schedules, I add those times to the calendar, and it helps me stay on track. I typically take a photo of it and send it to my husband so he can be part of the chaos and try to keep track, too.
Staying organized plays a huge role in managing my anxiety, so having a quick-reference calendar right at the front of my planner is a lifesaver. It helps me stay grounded and calm when life gets hectic—especially during seasons when taking things one day at a time just isn’t quite enough.
On page 6, we turn to the “Future Log,” which includes two small calendars for the upcoming months. There’s just enough space to jot down a few quick notes, but honestly, I’m so focused on the now that I don’t even want to think about December and January yet. Yikes!!! Can we please just put time on pause for a minute?!
On the opposite page, you’ll find a sheet of grid paper that’s perfect for all those little extras—brain-dumping thoughts, jotting down reminders, making lists, or simply having a place to scribble notes as they come to mind. I love having a little extra space to write down whatever doesn’t quite fit anywhere else!
Page 8 offers a chance to reflect on the previous month, with sections to capture your wins, challenges, and favorite moments. It’s such a helpful way to slow down and look back at what went well, what was difficult, and what you want to carry forward. This is one of my favorite pages because it reminds me to acknowledge even the small accomplishments that might otherwise go unnoticed. There’s also a section to identify what you want to start, stop, and continue moving forward.
October was a busy month, but it was also filled with so many fun memories! Some of my wins included my boys getting confirmed, pumpkin carving, a successful deer hunting season, and a few new recipe favorites. There were challenges, too, including the one-year anniversary of losing Janelle, some family drama, work stress, and just the craziness of everyday life. But mixed in with all of that were so many favorite moments—football games, kitty snuggles, family time, and fun evenings spent in the garage.
Taking the time to reflect on all of these moments helps keep me grounded and reminds me that even during the harder seasons, there is still so much good to be found. I love that this page encourages me to celebrate the little things, appreciate the memories, learn from the challenges, and focus on what I want to carry into the month ahead. Life isn't always easy or perfect, but there is always something worth holding on to!
Next up is the Monthly Intentions page. I love this section because it gives you space to set meaningful goals and revisit them throughout the month. With six categories and plenty of room to fill in your thoughts and ideas, it’s a great way to get clear on what matters most to you.
This isn’t necessarily a to-do list; it’s more about starting the month with purpose and being intentional about what you want to focus on. This month, my intentions are pretty simple, and I’ve already started working on a few of them—and, dare I say, I’ve actually been sticking with them! I had been doing really well with my exercise routine, but lately, I’ve been struggling to get up earlier in the mornings. Hopefully, this month will be the little push I need to get back on track and create some better habits!
As I mentioned earlier, Silk + Sonder is so much more than just a planner—and the trackers on pages 10 and 11 are proof of that. These pages feature a mood tracker and a habit tracker, giving you space to log your daily moods and monitor your habits throughout the month.
I find this feature especially helpful for identifying patterns, which is something that truly supports me in managing my anxiety. What I love most is how customizable these trackers are—you can focus on exactly what matters most to you, all while enjoying such a beautiful design.
Silk + Sonder typically ships about a week and a half before the new month begins, so while I’ve already created my “keys” for each tracker, I haven’t started filling them in just yet. Last month my circles were almost full! Wooo hooo!!
Page 12 features another tracker, this one focused on sleep. I don’t typically have trouble in that department, so this is a page I tend to skip. The opposite page, however, is one of my absolute favorites!
Page 13 features a Gratitude Log with 30 lines, one for each day of November. I truly believe practicing gratitude is one of the simplest ways to shift your mindset and bring more joy into everyday life. And you don't need a fancy planner to do it! Even something as simple as taking a few minutes each day to think about what you're thankful for can make a big difference.
Especially during tough or stressful seasons, gratitude can be a gentle reminder that there is still so much goodness and beauty around us. It's easy to get caught up in the busyness of everyday life, focus on what's going wrong, or overlook the little things. I love that this page encourages me to slow down and be more intentional about recognizing the moments, people, and blessings that make life special. Sometimes, it's the smallest things that end up meaning the most, and I think there's something pretty powerful about taking the time to notice them!
This month’s theme is Belonging, and on page 14, you’ll find several thoughtful prompts centered around this concept. There’s also an activity titled “My Circles of Belonging,” which encourages you to map out the different layers of your life and explore the people, places, and communities where you feel the strongest sense of connection.
I’ll be honest—I received this journal in October, and at the time, I just wasn’t quite ready to dive into these prompts. Sometimes you need to be in the right headspace to really reflect on certain topics, and I knew I wanted to give this one the time and thought it deserved. I appreciate having these prompts included and plan to work through them throughout November, one cup of coffee and one reflection at a time. I’m looking forward to slowing down, giving this theme some thought, and exploring what belonging really means to me.
Page 16 features another activity centered around belonging. This one encourages you to explore the conditions that help you feel safe, seen, and connected so you can seek out, nurture, or create more of those experiences in your everyday life. As I read through the questions, I found myself thinking about just how helpful they could be. In fact, I may even jot down a few to work through with some of my students who are struggling to find their own sense of belonging. I think these are such meaningful questions to ask ourselves, and they can be a great starting point for understanding what we need to feel connected, supported, and accepted.
Page 17 features a beautiful poem titled “Sense of Belonging” by Maria Sudibyo. It's short, sweet, and straight to the point, and I think it captures this month's theme perfectly!
The next page features a really pretty leaf-themed coloring page this month. It was fun to color and provided a nice little opportunity to slow down and relax! On the opposite page, you'll find what looks like a game board, but with a meaningful twist. The blank spaces are meant for you to fill in major milestones throughout your life and reflect on how each one made you feel.
I started by adding my birth year and 2026, but I haven't had a chance to fill in much more just yet. I think this will be such a fun activity to work on over time. I'm looking forward to seeing all of those important moments laid out in front of me and being able to look back at my life, from the very beginning to where I am today. What a fun way to reflect on how far I've come and all the experiences that have shaped me!
Every Silk + Sonder journal includes a recipe, and this month's dish calls for ingredients I don’t currently have on hand—which, honestly, is usually the case for me with these recipes! This month’s featured recipe is Pesto Zuppa Toscana, which sounds absolutely delicious. However, I don't think I've ever even seen spicy Italian chicken sausage before! It definitely looks worth trying, though, so let me know in the comments if you've made something similar and whether you think it's worth picking up all the ingredients. I'm always up for discovering a new recipe to add to the rotation!
On the opposite page is a “Belonging Affirmations” activity. It features a collection of bubbles, each with space to write an affirmation that reflects something you believe about yourself. Each circle serves as a little reminder of wholeness, connection, and community. I usually have a pretty easy time filling out this page, but for some reason, I found it a little more challenging this month. Maybe it's because this month's theme has me doing some deeper thinking, or maybe I just need a little more time to reflect. Either way, I think I'll revisit this one after another cup (or two) of coffee!
Blank sheets are always helpful and a great place to do some long division, write notes, and jot down addresses!
Each month, we get some kind of brain puzzle, and this time, it’s a a word scramble! I LOVE word scrambles, and this month I had a really easy time completing the puzzle. I also think I discovered the answer to this month's riddle all on my own, and I'm really proud!
On the opposite page, there’s an expense tracker. While it’s a great feature, I don’t personally use it since I already keep track of my expenses in a Google Doc. That’s one of the things I really appreciate about this journal—it’s designed to be flexible and can be used in whatever way works best for you.
I love that this journal always starts on a Monday, and because November begins on a Sunday, we get almost a full week of October days to wrap things up before diving into the new month! When it comes to the journal as a whole, I probably spend the most time on these calendar pages. With sections for meal planning, to-do lists, habits and activities, shopping lists, and daily schedules, I truly write everything here!
These pages help keep me on track throughout the week and give me that satisfying sense of accomplishment—because honestly, is there anything better than crossing something off your to-do list?! I also really appreciate all the thoughtful extras tucked into these pages. While I don't always fill out the section about how I want to feel each week, I found it especially helpful this time around to write down those intentions and spend some time praying over them.
This journal continues to be such a helpful tool in keeping my days organized, my thoughts in order, and my intentions front and center. It has truly become an important part of my daily routine, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without it!
Tidying up with one last quote, the dictionary definition of "sonder," and the back cover, that's all there is to it. I have come to find that a key part of my day is when I sit and fill out my planner with my cup of coffee. This quiet time happens before the kids are awake, and kicks my day off to a good start before the chaos starts. It is extremely important for me to keep a consistent schedule for managing my anxiety and creating much more positive life, and this journal definitely is a big help in that.
The Verdict
I have to say, I truly enjoyed November’s theme of Belonging. At this point in my life, I needed the opportunity to slow down and reflect on where I feel wanted and needed, where I feel most connected, and where it might be time to step back. I needed a little reminder to refocus on what truly matters, be more intentional with my time, and find a better balance in my everyday life.
This month's journal has helped me do just that. It's given me a chance to reflect, stay organized, and manage some of the anxiety that comes with trying to juggle so many things. Most importantly, it's reminded me that every moment is a gift. I don't want to get so caught up in the busyness of life that I forget to slow down, take a breath, and savor the little moments along the way. Those are often the moments that matter most!
Silk + Sonder has been an incredible source of support through both the good times and the challenging ones. It has truly become a necessity in my daily routine! Without this planner, I’d definitely feel lost—and so would my husband!
I continue to be impressed with this subscription and can’t wait to see what December has in store.
I typically set aside about 15–20 minutes each day for this journal, flipping from front to back as I reflect, add to, and process what I’ve written. By the end of the month, my thoughts feel much more organized, and I feel more grounded. The beauty of this planner is remarkable, and its portable size means I can easily carry it with me in my purse wherever I go.
I’ve been so impressed with every aspect of this journal, and I’m truly looking forward to continuing this journey of learning more about myself—all while staying organized, enjoying a little daily quiet time, and prioritizing meaningful self-care.
