Medusa's Make-Up Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup subscription box from the popular indie brand of the same name. Each month you'll receive a box of 3-5 vegan beauty products for just $25.95 with free shipping, with a total value of around $40. The shades and colors are always unique and the packaging is super fun!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The October 2026 Box

As a long-time beauty enthusiast and subscription box reviewer, I've tried just about every make-up box out there. Medusa’s Make-Up, though, has steadily carved out a special spot in my rotation. When I first got the chance to review one of their boxes, I was curious, and now, several months (and many fun looks) later, I’m fully hooked. Each delivery brings something bold, cruelty-free, and totally unique. So, what’s inside October's box? Let’s dive in and see what this month has to offer!

Medusa’s Make-Up has been switching things up lately! From metallic pink to black to pastel pink, I’m loving the excitement and variety! The packaging is pretty, and all the contents arrived safely and securely in a little bubble-wrap pouch. I couldn’t wait to dive in and see what this month had in store!

Now, let’s dig in and see what I received!

Kicking things off is the info card, which lists everything included in the box along with each item’s retail value. This month’s design perfectly captures the spooky Halloween vibe, making it a fun treat for October! The witch’s hat and playful font add just the right touch of cute, spooky charm.

The back of the card provides a helpful breakdown of each item, but unfortunately, the retail values are missing this month. I have to admit, that’s a little frustrating, as I always enjoy seeing how much each product is worth! On the bright side, I was thrilled to see that almost all of this month’s inclusions are from Medusa’s Make-Up brand. Finally!!

Now, let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Cult Gloss - Stargaze - Retail Value $18.00

The first item I received was this really pretty lip gloss! The glittery purple shade adds a lovely hint of color, and the formula feels hydrating on the lips. However, the glitter flecks were a little harsh, and while the gloss looks quite vibrant and purple in the picture, it turned out to be much more subtle in person.

I enjoyed wearing it for everyday use, although it does need to be reapplied throughout the day. The glitter also makes it feel a little less soothing than a traditional lip balm. It has a slightly fruity taste, and I absolutely love the pretty packaging!

Overall, I really enjoyed this gloss and would definitely love to receive more shades like this in future boxes. The colors are just so pretty!

Baked Eyeshadow - As If - Retail Value $14.00

This is a baked eyeshadow from Medusa's Make-Up. I've received this brand's baked shadows before, and they've always been a favorite. Housed in a generously sized pan, there's plenty of product, and I love the beautiful metallic sheen they provide.

The shade "As If" is definitely one of my favorites. I like blending neutrals and browns to create my everyday look, and this fits right into my routine. It has a gorgeous metallic sheen, blends beautifully, and creates a soft, polished look. It also has impressive staying power without clumping or creasing, making it an effortless way to elevate my everyday makeup. I love it!

Eyeshadow Stick - Dragon Ranee

I love gold eyeshadows, and this stick has one of the prettiest gold-bronze shades I’ve ever used! It glides smoothly across my eyelids, delivering fantastic pigmentation with minimal effort. I also appreciated the blending tip, which makes it easy to soften the color for a more seamless look.

While this shadow stick can definitely create a bold, statement eye, I personally love using it for my everyday makeup to add a beautiful pop of color. It’s such a versatile product and a great inclusion in this month’s box! I couldn’t find it available online, so I wasn’t able to determine its retail value, but I’m really enjoying the formula!

Eyelashes

Perfect for Halloween festivities, we also received a set of false eyelashes! Packaged in a sweet little plastic container, they looked great, but unfortunately, they’re just not something I’ll use. I wanted to give them a try, but I would have needed to purchase lash glue, and honestly, I have never—not once!—managed to get a pair of falsies to look good on me.

While I’ve officially given up on false lashes for myself, some of the high school girls I work with are absolutely obsessed with them! With the end of the quarter fast approaching, I’m thinking these might make the perfect little incentive to get one of them to turn in their missing work. Think it’ll work? Wish me luck!

Lipstick - Rio - Listed Value $5.00

The last makeup item I received was this super-bright lipstick! I really like the formulas Medusa’s Make-Up creates, but unfortunately, this month’s shade just wasn’t quite my style. The color is a vibrant orange, and I’m much more of a red-lipstick kind of girl!

The pigmentation was fantastic, and the lipstick had nice staying power, but the shade didn’t complement my skin tone as well as I’d hoped. Rather than let it go to waste, I added it to my costume makeup bin for future use! While it’s not something I’ll likely reach for in my everyday makeup routine, it could definitely come in handy for a fun, bold look down the road.

BONUS - Halloween Bag!

This month, we also received the cutest little Halloween makeup bag! Featuring adorable jack-o’-lanterns, bats, and candy corn, it perfectly captures the spooky season spirit. It was just the right size to hold all of this month’s goodies, making it both cute and practical! With Halloween right around the corner, this little bag is a fun and festive addition that’s sure to come in handy!

The Verdict

This month’s curation from Medusa’s Make-Up was great! I loved that four out of the five makeup items were from the Medusa’s Make-Up brand, and the Halloween-themed bag was such a fun and festive touch. While the lipstick shade wasn’t quite my style, I’m glad I got to try “Rio” and discovered that bright orange tones just don’t suit me as well as reds do! Sometimes, it’s all about figuring out which shades work best for you.

Overall, I really enjoyed this month’s box and thought it was a fun improvement over last month’s! What did you think of this month’s curation? Which item was your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the November box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.

Value Breakdown: It’s a little difficult to estimate the total value of this month’s box, as several items were hard to find for sale, making it tricky to determine their retail prices. However, I believe the overall value was over $37, even without including three of the items, which is pretty dang good! I’d definitely call that an improvement over last month’s box!
