First Impressions
One of my favorite things about the IPSY Original subscription is the excitement of discovering a new bag design every month. I’ve been a subscriber for years, and the fun, creative styles—along with the amazing products inside—keep me coming back for more.
To celebrate the arrival of October, we received a bag that gave me all the lovely spooky vibes! This black vinyl bag features a pretty metallic spiderweb design, a fun purple interior, and an adorable spiderweb zipper pull! It’s the perfect size for storing all your essentials and goodies while matching the Halloween vibe perfectly!
This is seriously one of my favorite IPSY bags ever!
Also included is a product card featuring the “Decadence After Dark” theme, along with a sneak peek at some of the IPSY Original products. It also includes a QR code for more details about this month’s bag contents and a preview of next month’s highlights!
Now, on to the items!
First Aid Beauty "Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration" - Deluxe Mini - Retail Value $9.96
The first item I received was this really great hydrating cream by First Aid Beauty! I’ve used this product in the past and have always loved this brand. The Ultra Repair Cream provides intense hydration and comes in a fragrance-free formula featuring colloidal oatmeal to help protect and soothe the skin. My skin has been extremely dry with the fall air, and this formula can also help relieve minor itching associated with eczema, rashes, poison ivy, and insect bites. I love that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, and I could even type on my keyboard after applying it without leaving smudges on the keys!
Ruby Rose "Pop Star Hot Blink Eye Pencil" - FULL SIZE - Estimated Value $6.00
The next item I received was this eye pencil in the shade “Fame Road,” a pretty brownish-burgundy color. It glided on nicely, but unfortunately, it didn’t have much staying power and smudged pretty quickly. I think it would work well for creating a smoky eye, but I just don’t wear a lot of brown-toned makeup. Since this was an item I knew I wouldn’t use very often, I decided to give it to one of my kiddos as a reward for improving her attendance, and she was absolutely thrilled!
Shades By Shan The Brow Gel - Travel Size - Retail Value $20.00
I love IPSY because it introduces me to new brands and beauty products, and this time, it introduced me to the best brow gel I’ve ever used! I’ve tried a lot of brow gels, but I often find them too sticky or that they leave my brows looking wet and unflattering. The Shades of Shan version has the coolest little wand that brushes my brows exactly how I want them without adding too much product. It applies just enough to keep my brows in place while still looking natural. I am seriously obsessed with this gel!
Beauty Creations "All About You pH" Lip Oil - FULL SIZE - Retail Value $5.00
I love full-size products, and this month, I received more than one! Yay! This lip oil smells like peaches and provides a beautiful gloss that tastes just as good! Housed in a cute little container, it features a large, fuzzy applicator wand that makes application super easy. Offering a little hydration and a touch of shine, this is a great product for everyday use, and I’m so happy it was included!
Spalife Cat Eye Smoothing Undereye Masks - FULL SIZE - Retail Value $5.30
The last item I received was the one I chose, and it was perfect for the Halloween season! I received two sets of cat-eye under-eye masks, and they are seriously the cutest ones I’ve ever seen! They feature adorable little black kitty heads and bodies and contain hyaluronic acid and collagen to help care for the delicate under-eye area. They’re just so dang cute! I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress this week, and my under-eye bags are definitely showing it, so these were the perfect addition to my box to help me look a little more refreshed!
I’ve been using my IPSY products and couldn’t be happier! I’m loving all of the skin care products this month and really appreciated the makeup additions, too. This subscription is seriously the best!
Verdict
I love the IPSY Original subscription and always look forward to trying new beauty products. While I definitely have my go-to brands, I’m always excited for the chance to discover something new. This month, I received five fun items that truly elevated my skincare routine and makeup game! I genuinely loved every product and was thoroughly impressed.
For just $15, I received five items, three of which were full-size, which is always a great bonus! I’ve used every item multiple times and have been really impressed with the quality of the products and the brands included. I’m also sooooo completely obsessed with this brow gel! Overall, I’m thrilled with this month’s curation, but I’m already looking forward to seeing what’s in store for November. What do you think it will include?
