Florida-Approved: Light Layers, Deep Hydration & Zero Duds (Almost)

I am SO ready for this. It's close to 100 degrees here in Florida right now, and while I know my skin still needs barrier support (it always does), my whole face is begging for something lighter. What’s Inside

AXIS-Y Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule – Retail Value $19.99

An iconic one, and honestly, you're either a ride-or-die for this ampoule or you've never tried it and have no idea what you're missing. Let me be real: this is not a "wow, my skin transformed overnight" kind of product. But use it consistently and something quietly starts to shift: your skin looks calmer, more even, genuinely glowier. It's one of those background players that makes everything else in your routine work better.

The formula is basically a barrier-repair dream team. It's also alcohol-free and fragrance-free in the updated formula, which makes it great for oily and acne-prone skin types that don't need extra irritation. It layers beautifully under everything and works for basically any skin type. Just add it to your routine and leave it alone to do its thing.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I have (many) times.

Skinfood Rice Mask Wash Off – Retail Value $7.50

Okay, this one genuinely doesn't get enough credit and I'm so glad it showed up here. It deserves way more love than it gets. The texture is on the runnier side...so fair warning: it can get a little messy, but once it sets on the skin it dries down nicely.

The reason it works so well: it's built around rice bran water, which is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and fatty acids, plus rice bran powder that acts as a gentle physical exfoliant to buff away dead skin cells. The result is that combo of brighter and softer that's hard to get from a single product. I personally use it on my décolleté and arms too, because it's genuinely that good for texture and uneven tone in those areas. An underrated multitasker and a steal at this price.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Acid Toner – Retail Value $14

An excellent pick, and perfectly timed for the season change. This is exactly the kind of toner you want when the weather heats up: lightweight enough that it won't weigh down your skin, but hydrating enough to actually do something. Honestly, calling this a toner feels like a disservice. It has more of an essence-like feel, almost like an ultra-light serum.

If you've been using anything drying lately (retinol, actives, harsh cleansers), this is the kind of toner that helps get your balance back. I've also been using it to soak cotton sheets and turn them into DIY face masks, and it's perfect for that. One of the most versatile products in this box.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Skinfood Daily Brightening Rice Cleansing Foam – Retail Value $6.38

Look, if you've been around here for a while, you already know how I feel about foaming cleansers. They're almost always too stripping for me — and nine times out of ten, I finish one and my skin immediately feels like it's been squeezed out like a sponge. This one isn't the worst offender. It's not aggressively drying. But it also doesn't leave my skin feeling balanced or happy, just... clean and kind of flat. Which is more than I can say for most foaming cleansers, but still not enough for my oily, acne-prone skin to get along with it long-term.

Would I repurchase? No.

Varied Sheet Masks

Included: OOTD Collagen Supreme Mask, OOTD Retinol Mask, Farmstay Red Ginseng, Barulab Aloe.

Four sheet masks in one box instead of the usual two — I'm not complaining! They're all playing in the same sandbox: hydration, soothing, a little skin TLC. Let me break down my favorites.

The Barulab Aloe Mask is my top pick from the bunch. The cotton sheet feels genuinely luxurious on the skin. Perfect for after sun exposure or any time your skin is feeling reactive and over it.

My second favorite is the OOTD Retinol Mask. I keep a stack of these in my drawer because they make an incredible pre-makeup step. It's become part of my getting-ready routine when I need my face to look its best.

The red ginseng and collagen masks are great hydration hits too — nothing groundbreaking, but they'll always get used.

Skinfood Peach Cotton Multi Finish Powder – Retail Value $5.20

THE most summer-coded product in this entire box, and I'm so happy it showed up because I just ran out of my setting powder. This little thing is going everywhere with me. It's tiny, fits in any bag, and for oily skin in Florida heat, a good oil-controlling powder isn't a luxury — it's a survival tool. One tap and the shine is gone, the finish is soft and natural, and it doesn't look cakey. This is the one product I'd recommend from this box to anyone, regardless of skin type.

Would I repurchase? Yes — already on my list.

I'm genuinely happy with this one. Everything in it makes sense for summer, lighter textures, hydration-focused formulas, and that little peach powder that I'll be reaching for every single day. The only thing I'll be passing on is the cleansing foam, but that's just my skin being picky about foaming cleansers as always. Between the masks, the AXIS-Y ampoule, and the Jumiso toner, my skin is going to be very quenched this summer.
