The August 2026 Box
As a long-time beauty enthusiast and subscription box reviewer, I've tried just about every make-up box out there. Medusa’s Make-Up, though, has steadily carved out a special spot in my rotation. When I first got the chance to review one of their boxes, I was curious, and now, several months (and many fun looks) later, I’m fully hooked. Each delivery brings something bold, cruelty-free, and totally unique. So, what’s inside August's box? Let’s dive in and see what this month has to offer!
This month was a little different! Instead of the usual metallic pink mailer, my box arrived in a shiny black one. While I've always loved the signature pink packaging, I was excited to see the change and even more thrilled to find it waiting in my mailbox.
Inside, all of my products were safely tucked into a sweet little bubble-wrap makeup bag! Everything was securely packaged and arrived in perfect condition—and now I have a new toiletries bag, too. Yay!
Now, let's dig in and see what I received!
Kicking things off is the info card, which lists everything included in the box along with each item's retail value. I'm really loving this month's design! Featuring an adorable 10th anniversary illustration of a kitty wearing a party hat, it instantly brought a smile to my face.
The bright colors perfectly capture the spirit of summer, while the back of the card provides a helpful breakdown of each item and its retail value.
Now, let's take a closer look, shall we?
Medusa's Makeup Baked Eyeshadow in Mood - Retail Value $14.00
The first item I received this month was a baked eyeshadow from Medusa's Make-Up. I've received this brand's baked shadows before, and they've always been a favorite. Housed in a generously sized pan, there's plenty of product, and I love the beautiful metallic sheen they provide.
The shade "Mood" is definitely one of my favorites. I like blending neutrals and browns to create my everyday look, and this fits right into my routine. It has a gorgeous metallic sheen, blends beautifully, and creates a soft, polished look. It also has impressive staying power without clumping or creasing, making it an effortless way to elevate my everyday makeup. I love it!
Medusa's Makeup Sweet Cheeks in Pinky Swear - Listed Value $14.00
The next item I received was another one of my favorites! This time, I received a large rectangular pan of blush. This dusty metallic rose shade is a little darker than I would normally choose, but it works beautifully with my summer tan. The subtle metallic shimmer gives my cheeks a gorgeous, sun-kissed glow that's perfect for the season.
A little goes a long way, so this blush will last a really long time. Overall, I absolutely love the healthy, radiant look it gives!
Medusa's Make-Up Forevermore in BFF – Listed Value $16.00
The next item I received was a tube of Forevermore lipstick. Since it's one of Medusa's Make-Up's own products, I've received quite a few shades in this formula over the years. While the scent is a little too strong for my liking, I really enjoy the formula. It dries down to a matte finish, has excellent staying power, and feels comfortable to wear.
This bright shade is definitely something I'd reach for in the summer, especially paired with a winged liner. I honestly forgot I was even wearing it while I ate a dinner of fettuccine Alfredo! Lo and behold, it held up through all the noodle slurping without smearing.
Removing it did take a bit of makeup remover and a little extra effort, but I have to say, it definitely held on and did its job!
Medusa's Make-Up Mystical Eye Dust in Ganesha - Listed Value $12.00
I'm really loving the curation this month! While I had already received one eyeshadow in this box, I was happy to also find this eye dust in a gorgeous metallic silver shade. With its sparkling flecks of glitter, it was right up my alley and worked beautifully as a base for my smoky eye.
Eye dust can be a little messy to work with, but I really like the results. The formula applies well, and with plenty of product included, this little jar will last through many, many uses.
Face Mask - Listed Value $5.00
The next item I received was a Sadoer Rose Moist Brightening Facial Mask. This mask is incredibly juicy—it was packed with so much serum that it almost slid right off my face!
The serum itself is lovely. It has a cooling feel, a light rose scent, and left my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized after use. It's a wonderful little self-care treat before a long day and helped me start things off feeling refreshed and in a great mood.
Punk Style Lip Gloss - Listed Value $10.00
I love lip glosses, so I was surprised to find this product labeled as one. Created by Punk Style, this bright pink lip color is fully pigmented and infused with glitter. As you can see in the photo, though, it doesn't really have any gloss-like qualities.
The formula is fairly heavy and, because of the glitter, a little uncomfortable to wear. That said, the color is really pretty, and it has decent staying power. While it isn't likely to become one of my go-to lip products, I can definitely see myself reaching for it on occasion.
Rainbow Nail File - Listed Value $3.00
The last item I received was a cute rainbow nail file. This fun little accessory is perfect for slipping into my purse for any nail emergencies while I'm on the go! Decorated with adorable little clouds, it instantly brightened my day, and I really enjoyed seeing a practical accessory like this included in the box.
The Verdict
This month’s curation from Medusa’s Makeup was one of my favorites! I loved that almost all of the items were Medusa’s Makeup–branded, showcasing their colors and formulas. My favorites were the eyeshadow and blush, but I also really enjoyed the lipstick and face mask. Overall, it was a great mix, and I had so much fun playing around with my new products!
