CatLadyBox Review “Live in the Meow” August 2026

CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $44.99 per month CatLadyBox has 3-4 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., plus 2 items just for cats.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

I think this is the hardest thing I've ever had to write. After 18 years, Miley Mae has been reunited with her favorite pup pal, Gunner, up in Heaven. Even though she was up there in years, she was bright-eyed and as sassy as ever right up until the morning of her passing. I honestly don't remember life without her, and I'm having an extremely hard time coming to terms with the fact that she's gone.

That being said, this month's CatLadyBox arrived and actually lifted my spirits. While my bestie isn't here to review it with me, I've cherished the lifestyle items and will be saving the toys for a new kitten coming this spring.

Let's dig in, shall we?

Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! Seeing this purple cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in white tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more, plus you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

Along with the goodies, this box also included an information sheet—and guess what? The custom artwork is back! This month's art is ultra-vibrant and features a toucan riding on the back of an orange kitty. I absolutely love this cheery postcard!

The artwork is whimsical, colorful, and fun, making it the perfect addition to the growing collection on my fridge.

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Cat Lady Box

Just Meow Tee - Listed Value $24.99

The first item we received this month was the “Meow” tee. This pretty hunter-green T-shirt is made from super-soft 100% cotton. Featuring a simple “Meow” script with a heart, it was exactly what I needed right now. A sweet little nod to my old pal, this shirt pairs well with black leggings or shorts and is incredibly comfortable to wear. I love this inclusion and am happy to wear it in remembrance of my little old Miley.

Soft Kitty Throw Pillow - Listed Value $22.99

The next item we received was definitely my favorite. Here we have a nice-sized throw pillow shaped like a kitty head, complete with little pointy ears and the fattest little cheeks. Featuring embroidered eyes and a nose, this pillow is soft and squeezable—and I may or may not have been crying into it over the last couple of days.

Neutral in color, it will coordinate beautifully with a variety of home décor styles and was such a sweet inclusion that I really needed at this time. I love it!

Kitty Paw Spoons - Retail Value $12.99

I've received a lot of different cat-themed items in my day, but this was definitely a new one for me. Here we have two kitty paw spoons. One has slots for stirring or straining, while the other has been used for eating cereal! Cute in design, these are fun to have in my drawer and have added a little spin to my breakfast routine.

The kids got a kick out of these spoons, too, and we've found the slotted one works nicely for serving our sliced carrots. I really appreciate functional items that we can use every day, and this set is definitely one of those—while still giving a nod to my favorite animal.

Walter Melon Catnip Toy - Retail Value $5.99

The next item we received was a watermelon-slice-shaped catnip toy. Miley wasn't a huge fan of toys, but she did enjoy batting these around, especially when catnip was involved. Overall, this was a super-cute toy with a little fuzzy “skin” and a funny embroidered face, complete with glasses.

While I don't have my bestie here to test out the toys for pictures right now, we are planning to add a kitten to our household this spring. I may save this one until then or try it out on my sister's cats in the meantime.

Meowed Cactus Catnip Kicker - Listed Value $6.99

The next toy we received was a hat-wearing cactus plant. This one was also filled with catnip and was incredibly cute in design, while still being made with the high quality I've come to expect. CatLadyBox truly does send some of the best cat toys ever!

Ugh, how my heart is absolutely shattered. As I wrap up this month's box, I can't help but think about how much I wish Miley were here to share it with me. For 18 years, she was my constant companion, my little sidekick, and quite simply the best cat I could have ever asked for. I miss her more than words can say, and while reviewing this box without her has been bittersweet, I'm grateful for the memories we made together and the little reminders of her that surround me. Miley may no longer be here to curl up beside me or test out these goodies, but she will always hold a very special place in my heart. She was the best cat ever, and I will love and miss my sweet girl forever.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $44.99 per month (with a 6-month plan)+ free US shipping. Month-to-month cost is $49.99.

Value Breakdown:

  • Shirt: $24.99
  • Pillow: $22.99
  • Spoons: $12.99
  • Watermelon Toy: $5.99
  • Cactus Toy: $6.99

Everything in this box is bespoke to the subscription, so I have to go by listed values (though some of the products will be available for sale in the CatLadyBox shop!) The values add up to $73.95 this month, which is valued at quite a bit more than the cost of the box! I love the variety of items and functionality.

I don’t subscribe to this box, but I always like to look at your reviews and see your beautiful kitty. Although she’s an angel kitty now she will forever be purring in your heart and memories. I’m so sorry for your loss.

So sorry to read about your loss. 18 years is a long life for a cat but their lives on earth are still never long enough for their humans.
