Medusa's Make-Up Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup subscription box from the popular indie brand of the same name. Each month you'll receive a box of 3-5 vegan beauty products for just $25.95 with free shipping, with a total value of around $40. The shades and colors are always unique and the packaging is super fun!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The July 2026 Box

As a long-time beauty enthusiast and subscription box reviewer, I've tried just about every make-up box out there. Medusa’s Make-Up, though, has steadily carved out a special spot in my rotation. When I first got the chance to review one of their boxes, I was curious, and now, several months (and many fun looks) later, I’m fully hooked. Each delivery brings something bold, cruelty-free, and totally unique. So, what’s inside July's box? Let’s dive in and see what this month has to offer!

This month was a little different! Instead of the usual metallic pink mailer, my box arrived in a shiny black one. While I've always loved the signature pink packaging, I was excited to see the change and even more thrilled to find it waiting in my mailbox.

Inside, all of my products were safely tucked into a protective bubble-wrap pouch. Everything was securely packaged and arrived in perfect condition.

Now, let's dig in and see what I received!

Kicking things off is the info card, which lists everything included in the box along with each item's retail value. I'm really loving this month's design! It gives me major early 2000s vibes, bringing me right back to my teen years, and I truly appreciate the nostalgic feel.

The bright colors perfectly capture the spirit of summer, while the back of the card provides a helpful breakdown of each item and its retail value.

Now, let's take a closer look, shall we?

Medusa's Make-Up Baked Eyeshadow - Girl Bye - Retail Value $14.00

The first item I received this month was a baked eyeshadow from Medusa's Make-Up. I've received this brand's baked shadows before, and they've always been a favorite. Housed in a generously sized pan, there's plenty of product, and I love the beautiful metallic sheen they provide.

I'll admit that pink isn't usually my go-to eyeshadow color, but I decided to give it a try anyway. While I didn't love it as an eyeshadow, I discovered that it works wonderfully as a cheek color! It is quite pigmented, but when applied with a light hand and blended with my bronzer, it created a beautiful, glowy finish. I'll definitely be reaching for it as a blush more often!

Medusa's Make-Up - Totally Baked Eyeshadow - Awesome - Listed Value $12.00

The next item I received was a pan of Totally Baked eyeshadow in the shade Awesome. This gorgeous metallic purple shadow can be applied lightly for a subtle wash of color or built up for a bold, vibrant look.

It has impressive staying power, lasting all day without creasing, and it's versatile enough to create a variety of looks. I especially liked blending it into my crease for a soft pop of color, though it also looked beautiful swept across my lids for a more dramatic effect.

The formula is easy to apply, there's plenty of product in the pan, and it paired especially well with one of the other products included in this month's box, making it even more fun to experiment with.

Medusa's Make-Up - Lipstick - Tamed – Listed Value $16.00

The next item I received was a tube of lipstick. I've tried several of Medusa's Make-Up lipsticks over the years, and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

The formula is creamy, unscented, and offers beautiful pigmentation. It has the typical staying power you'd expect from a traditional lipstick and wears comfortably throughout the day.

I'll be honest—the shade looked quite a bit different on me than it did on the website, and I was perfectly okay with that! It appeared much darker online, but on me it was a softer, slightly nude shade that complemented my skin tone nicely. It also wore evenly without feathering or bleeding, which I always appreciate.

Overall, this was a wonderful addition to my lipstick collection!

Medusa's Make-Up Disco Queen - Boogie Nights - Listed Value $14.00

The next item I received was probably my favorite in the box. I'm a sucker for a good lip gloss, and I've really come to love Medusa's Make-Up's Disco Queen line. I've received several shades over the years, but Boogie Nights was a new one for me.

The website describes it as a warm caramel brown, and I'd say that's fairly accurate. However, the product photos don't quite capture how it looks in person. On my lips, it created a beautiful neutral nude shade with a subtle glittery finish, as you can see below. Overall, it's absolutely gorgeous!

Like most lip glosses, it does need to be reapplied throughout the day, but that's to be expected. The formula glides on smoothly, isn't sticky or messy, and adds a beautiful shine. I've already found myself reaching for it again and again.

Medusa's Make-Up - Eye Dust - Penny Wise - Listed Value $12.00

I've never watched the Stephen King-inspired Pennywise movie—and I don't plan to—but I do love the gorgeous coppery color this eye dust delivers!

It comes in a small twist-cap container with multiple shaker holes that make dispensing the product easy, though loose pigments can be a bit messy to work with. The formula is incredibly pigmented, offering a stunning metallic copper finish with just a small amount of product.

Since it's so vibrant, I applied it with a light hand, and it looked beautiful on my eyelids. This was a fantastic addition to the box, and I'm excited to experiment with it in even more looks. Overall, I'm genuinely impressed with this eye dust!

Here are all of the eye products applied, along with the lip gloss. I opted for a more subtle look, but I was able to incorporate every makeup item I received this month! Overall, I was really happy with the results!

The Verdict

This month’s curation from Medusa’s Makeup was one of my favorites! I loved that all of the items were Medusa’s Makeup–branded, showcasing their colors and formulas. My favorite was the lip gloss, but I also really enjoyed the eyeshadows and lipstick. Overall, it was a great mix, and I had so much fun playing around with my new products!

Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $68 worth of items this month with these five items. This is more than double the cost of the box! That's a good value for $25.95.
