First Impressions
I absolutely adore kitty cats! In my 38 years, I have never known life without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 18 year old best friend named Miley Mae. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!
Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! I only have one precious feline, but I absolutely adore this subscription. Seeing this purple cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in white tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more, plus you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.
Along with the goodies, this box also included an information sheet—and guess what? The custom artwork is back! This month's design features a cute calico cat digging through an apple-filled picnic basket, and I absolutely love it!
The artwork is whimsical, colorful, and fun, making it a perfect addition to the growing collection on my fridge.
The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Cat Lady Box
Believe in Mew Tee - Listed Value $24.99
The first item we received this month was the "Believe in Yourself" Kitty Ladybird Tee. This cheerful green T-shirt is perfect for summer, featuring a floral design with four adorable black kitties sporting ladybird wings. I really appreciated the whimsical artwork and uplifting message, although my son didn't quite get it and thought it was a little silly. Of course, that didn't stop me from wearing it!
The unisex medium fits true to size, and the fabric is wonderfully soft and comfortable. I love adding little nods to Miley throughout my wardrobe, and this shirt has quickly become one of my favorites. I already can't wait to see what design they come up with next month!
Cat Lady Cooler Bag - Listed Value $19.99
The next item we received was incredibly functional, especially with the heat wave we've been experiencing! We spend a lot of time outdoors in the heat for baseball, so this cooler bag was the perfect addition for our family.
It's not oversized, but that's actually one of the things I love about it! It features a convenient shoulder strap, making it easy to carry, and a separate compartment to help keep food and drinks organized and protected. The kids packed it with a couple of drinks and a candy bar, and there was still plenty of room left over!
We've used this cooler almost daily, and it has been the perfect size for keeping us hydrated and fueled during our nightly baseball games. Not only is it practical, but the beautiful blue color is gorgeous, and the quilted-looking cat design on the strap is absolutely adorable! Whoever designed this clearly had me in mind, and I couldn't be happier with this inclusion.
Swedish Dish Towels - Retail Value $12.99
I have boys—boys who love to cook, create, and, of course, make plenty of messes! This month, I received a set of three Swedish dish towels featuring cute kitties, and they were absolutely perfect.
These versatile towels can be used like paper towels or dishcloths, and they work wonderfully for everyday messes. Even better, they can be washed and reused! I absolutely love items that are both functional and include a little nod to my love of kitty cats, and these towels were a superb addition.
Freddy the Firefly Wand Toy - Retail Value $6.99
The next item we received was a wand toy made just for Miley. She absolutely loves these types of toys, and she was immediately intrigued by the little fuzzy, worm-like body on this flexible firefly.
With its fun wings and playful design, it was a treat to watch her try to catch it! Miley chased it around the patio for quite a while before we had to head back inside because of the wildfire smoke. Once indoors, the kids got her to run across the living room after it a few more times, which was so fun to see—especially at her age!
Well-designed and engaging, this toy was a wonderful addition and has provided plenty of entertainment not only for Miley, but for the whole family too!
Twisty Sipper Straw Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99
After the wand toy, this twisty straw toy was a little lackluster. Although it contained catnip, Miley wasn't quite as excited about it as she was with the firefly. That's okay, though—she gave it a sniff and batted it around a bit.
We brought it back inside, and she has stopped by a few times to take a peek, so maybe later this evening she'll feel a little more playful and decide to give it another try!
Miley loves a little outside time, and she had a great time out on the patio! Isn't she the cutest?!
